I'm up, I'm up.  I went back to bed at around four, tried to keep my mind off my queasiness, and finally fell asleep.  I'm still a little queasy, but hopefully that will go away at some point - but it's another day without a jog, for sure.  Tomorrow I will jog come hell or high or even low water.

What are you going to wear while talking to the children today, Mr Director?  First impressions are so important....and they will see you today IN CHARGE for awhile!

I have to read over my Creature notes - I'm walking a fine line in them, because I want them to be positive - most know I was not thrilled with some of the score, and I'm not going to lie about that, but I also don't want it to be negative about the composer - so, I'm being careful about how I'm writing it.

Of course you can mention it.  You can talk about anything here.

I will, then. I will mention it.

But when?

Thanks so much to all who commented upon the gato nuevo.

BK, Is all music included? Like in the Japanese monster montage, there is kind of a funky rock thing happening. Did that just come with that footage?

Then I must type up the cue titles.  I've already done a CDR of the songs.  Interestingly, the final cue of the film was not used the way it was recorded - I ended up using the first half of it and editing it onto an earlier cue that matched what the action was better.

I also remembered quite a bit about the casting of the film, which I've never written about and which, I think, will be interesting to people.

The Dovells did a second song and not EVERYONE in the group knew the words.  And I, like DR MBARNUM, am not sure that what they were doing during the Bristol Stomp actually WAS the Bristol Stomp...

Jrand, the cast isn't children - they're young adults playing a rock and roll band for kids.

Victor Moore doesn't really ring a bell for me, Ron. Even when I looked him up to see what he looked like. Even though I have definitely seen movies he was in.

Rodzinski, this CD of Creature music will be called The Creature Wasn't Nice - and it reflects the score as recorded for the original cut of the film - so none of that source music will be in it, because the monster footage was not in my cut (this is all explained in the booklet).

The only film I really know Victor Moore from is Swing Time - I don't care for him very much, I must say.

Been catching up on my HHW, and Ron P, I also want to mention that I thought it was great the way you handled that garage situation. It took guts.

Very good as the foil of Helen Broderick in SWING TIME.  Especially when they attempted to replicate the Fred and Ginger routine at the dance studio.  ;D

Last night's "Ugly Betty":

SPOILER

At the end, when Betty was explaining her deal with Mark -- the one in which she gave him her Gucci bag (which he did not know was a knock-off) in exchange for a knockoff bag from down the street -- what was the "rest" of the deal?  It happened so fast, I didn't hear what else she asked of him.

She asked for a big favor at some point in the future.  Good episode although at first I was confused because it seemed like a repeat.

And of course, DR RODZINSKI, Lois Kibbee, niece of Guy, was a ghostwriter who did Joan Bennett's "autobiography" and was working on Frances Farmer's book when Frances died.

Patrick Agan sent me a tape he had of a interview with Lois about Frances that is fun to hear.  Her father was Guy's brother Milton.

Ah yes....once the CD is released, I would guess ALL of them will become Cabaret favorites if not Drag Queen Anthems.  ;D

It's actually been quite pleasant.  See you from behind the scenes, where I'm going soon for my lunch.

Media Check

DVD:  I finally cracked open the SNL SEASON ONE set and guess what?--there was a disc missing!  Now I have to get it to my sister who will have to return it to Amazon and that will take forever!  I was so looking forward to viewing this set.  Darn it!
