The balcony of my apartment overlooks the Commencement Bay portion of Puget Sound. Usually, the water is a brilliant blue. This morning, it is a dark gray, almost black.
Why they make fun of Polish engineers:
I don't have any favorite magicians...well, maybe Jacques Bergerac.
But I love it! In the world of "storybook" houses, surely there's a name for the ones, like this, that are quite deliberately quirky. DERBRUCER, you HHW researcher-in-chief, do you know one?BTW, there's an interesting storybook house in LA--Culver City, to be exact--right near MGM. Anyone know the one I'm thinking about? You are correct! I figured JRand56 would be the only one to catch that! Hee, hee.
DearREaderLaura and Josep! For shame! All the guy is going to do is hopefully whip me into shape!
