Well, you've read the notes, the notes were quite mutated, and now it is time for you to post until the mutant cows come home.

Well, if no one wants to play then it's time to toddle off to the bedroom environment.

Le Chic Chick tip of the day!

Be Informed: Read the headlines of the news paper and know your current suppoundings. Even if you do not feel strongly on an issue, you should be able to have an intelligent conversation about it.

It is cold in my room!

Tomarrow will be a VERY fun day, one I am looking forward too quite alot!

I am currently listening to nothing ( no time), have the manchurian candidate still in my dvd player(no time), and need to have the brain script ready, so I do not forsee a future in music listening or home movie watching for me until tuesdayish!

Good morning, all!  I want to thank you all for the vibes on behalf of my Dad.  He's in good spirits and I hope the pulmonary procedure today gets him over this hump and gives him a bit more time.  I suspect this year may be his last; after several crises last year with the cancer, I'm happy he's still around.

My day is full of usual routine:  Toyland first, then ANNIE GET YOUR GUN.  Goddaughter Charlotte called yesterday about seeing DREAMGIRLS this Sunday, so we'll hopefully do that, meaning tomorrow at some point is laundry day.

TOD:
CD:  The Brain rough mix, Guy Haines, My Fair Lady
DVD: MONK Season 1 (I never saw the first season; from what I've seen, it's the best season), a couple of operas
  VCR:  Cheap porn

I just finished listening to the John Raitt, Barbara Cook Showboat. I also have The Fantasticks, She Loves Me, 70 Girls 70, 1776, Merrily We Roll Along, Mack & Mabel, A Little Night Music and Follies here at the office.

We will watch Ugly Betty sometime this weekend. We will also watch more As Time Goes By tonight. DR Larry gave us some fun movies which we will probably watch on Saturday or Sunday.

Winter weather seems to have arrived in New York. We have flurries right now and it's supposed to be cold (although 32 degrees isn't exactly frigid in my humble opinion) all weekend.

That's all for now. Hi and Bye to JR

"There's Always Something to Celebrate" said DR FJL.  That sounds like the title of a Cy Coleman song, doesn't it?

There's always something to celebrate.
It's never too early - it's never too late.
It could be something you love or something you hate,
But: there's always something to celebrate!

Now, as DRs FRANCOIS and JMK pointed out, the DVD entitled YOUR HOST, WALT DISNEY does indeed contain the Disneyland sequence of the Mouseketeers doing songs from a proposed version of "The Rainbow Road to Oz."

I am not certain that it would have been a success, and I didn't look quick enough to see who wrote the songs we saw - but the choreography, makeup, and costumes were cute(Bobby was the scarecrow and Sharon was the Patchwork Girl.  Annette was Ozma, the princess.

The finale song was the best - the title song with everyone in costume marching up a big cake and then down again.

I'm not sure if anyone has commented on this. But i wanted to say something about last night's UGLY BETTY.

big spoilers

I loved that betty is now back at mode with daniel. And i love their little escapade.  Very good show.  But re: the ending.  Okay they cast rebecca romijn (sp?) as the bandaged woman.  Now i love this idea much better than their original idea (it being fay).  But come on. Are we supposed to be stupid? To me at least it was pretty clear that the bandaged woman was older and that she is now a totally different person.  Are we not supposed to realize this (just because they changed direction with the story?)  Although that said, i loved the revelation. It is going to be so fun!

Vibes for DR Elmore's father. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

DR FJL i think you should go see kristin.  Just try to take some sort of couch meds before you go and bring plenty of unwrapped cough drops for the show.

Oh and re: me not liking survivor contestant jp's personality. There was another cutie (adam) whose personality i also could not stand.  To me if they are irritating or obnoxious it makes me dislike them no matter how cute they may be.

TCM is running a very funny commercial for it's showing of THE ODD COUPLE tonight.  It's edited in such a way that the movie resembles an angst filled William Inge drama.  Very cute.

It's Friday, so it must be time for...

MEDIA CHECK

iPod:  ANNIE OCR -- this is the remasted version and I don't like it at all!  So much of the orchestra is muted, particularly the brass section which used to contribute so much to the sound of the show.  And poor Danielle Brisebois is faded to a whisper.  Who remixed this thing?  The original LP, with its schizo quad/stereo mix, sounded way better.

Tivo:  SCRUBS and SMALLVILLE

DVD:  SNL SEASON ONE--finally got my replacement copy.  I'll start digging into this tonight.

Talk about mutant!  How about mutant vibes, DR ELmo.  Every time I see that you're logged on, I log on and you're gone.  Oh well, I'll leave you a post anyway cause as soon as I log out, you'll log back on.  Ahh, Haines Way Web Tag.  Anyway, good vibes, not mutant vibes to your dad -- and you  -- and your entire family.  I see you gave specifics for the CD and DVD, but a generic "cheap porn" for the VCR.  Title please (I want to see if we're watching the same one -- :o)

DR Ron ~ You so funny!  (I got busy yesterday and didn't get back to comment on your "No sechs please .... we're British!"  posting -- so a day late and a dollar short...) We did that play at a civic theatre in Texas -- I played one of the hookers (hence my interest in DR Elmo's VCR entry..)......
