No, save AstroBurger for a less celebratory occasion....remember, the key word is "FABULOUS and DELICIOUS."

Has there only been one song written for a commercial that has actually become a hit?  I know they tried a second time with a song called It Won't Hurt To Try It (It's Not Gonna Hurt Anymore) which had two versions, one sung by my old pal, Mr. Michael Burns.  That song was written for a Clearasil commercial.  Is that how to spell Clearasil?  It doesn't look right.  I have the 45 for It Won't Hurt To Try It buried deep in storage.

And now, I must away for awhile.  I'm going to a concert with a friend of mine, but probably be back later on in the evening.

Farewell...............  Oh, and BK -- I know it was really cheesy, but I'm probably the only person who liked The Mephisto Waltz!"  We keyboard people can buy into that fantasy of "sell your soul for fantastic technique and ability."

Dear Miss Karen.......so, was boo-key just a quiet normal obediant little kid, or did the usual signs of "talent and prodigy" surface early.  I know in my case, I was a weird mix of both.

But then, I'm still a weird kid.  [ No comment is needed, from TCB, OzTom, derB, and especially elmore!]

A gifted child, of course! (But you're asking his mother) His first sign he was destined for performing arts?  At 11 months -- when he would do a little tap dance on the coffee table to my dad singing the "Mexican Hat Dance."  If you didn't clap when he finished,  he'd curl his tiny hands in tight fists, stomp his feet, and make this noise like Frankenstein "grrrring."  No, I hadn't already bought him little baby tap shoes -- those standard high-top, white baby shoes made a sound that was close enough.  (I'm sure I'll hear from der Brucer about allowing a child to get up on the furniture and scuff up the coffee table...)...

Write a song about them and put it in a musical about a brain invading earth
(There, it generated at least one, so we've done our part to help bk break a record)...

BK, thanks for the goodies you sent home The Lovely Wife.  I'll be curious to know if those British DVDs had anything interesting in them.  It's tough shopping for the man who has everything, but I figured you'd never seen these before.

My favorite song from a show that didn't make it is "Makin' It" sung by David Naughton.  It didn't become a hit song until several years later, though, IIRC.

Who?

Actually, PHYLLIS was a hit for a while, wasn't it?

And why do I think of ANGIE as a successful show?  Maybe because I liked it so much?

A CASON POINT - caption for a photo of Cason pointing angrily at his Mom for revealing family secrets

There's a pun I'll bet Cason's never heard before, right?  :)

But in a couple of weeks they will have a new John Abraham film showing and I will try to go see it.

Is it this one: Salaam E Ishq: A Tribute to Love

Quote

Reviewer's Summary - A Never Ending Ordeal
Language: Hindi
Year: January 26, 2007 in the U.S.
Actors: Salman Khan, John Abraham, Govinda, Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra, Shannon Esra, Sohail Khan, Isha Koppikar, Juhi Chawla, Ayesha Takia, Anjana Sukhani
Director: Nikhil Advani
Producer: Mukesh Talreja & Sunil Manchanda
Story: Nikhil Advani
Screenplay: Saurabh Shukla, Suresh Nair & Nikhil Advani
Music: Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy
Lyrics: Sameer
Dialogs: Saurabh Shukla

Salaam E Ishq - No Tribute to Love but a Lengthy Nightmare

Quick, drop the guillotine on the Bollywood baboons that brought us the lengthy horror show called Salaam E Ishq.

Inspired by the 2003 Hollywood romantic comedy Love Actually, Salaam E Ishq is that unique Bollywood movie that has absolutely no saving graces.

Featuring a cricket-team-size motley crew of current and yesteryear top stars, Salaam E Ishq proves that more is less when it comes to Bollywood.

From the first frame to the last, Salaam E Ishq is painful torture for unsuspecting viewers duped into the movie hall by the big names on the marquee.

As if one repetitive love story was not tiresome enough in a Hindi movie, Salaam E Ishq bores us with six love stories.

Salaam E Ishq fails at multiple levels.

I wonder who did the theme to Doctor's Hospital, the show I guest-starred on for the premiere episode?  And who did the theme to Marcus Welby, another TV show I always forget I did a small role on?

Doctor's Hospital - Don Ellis, who died shortly thereafter

Marcus Welby - Leonard Rosenman   (Neil Diamonds "Jazz Singer", "Star Trek IV", "Barry Lyndon")

We must have a good posting day, because if we do it will mean the breaking of a new record here at haineshisway.com

Which would be?
