Those individuals therefore feel a greater threat than they did previously. In my view, prior to 9/11 many people were in denial--and THAT has changed.
Well, on some issues - but then consider:
Number of unintended pregnancies
STD epidemics
Drunk Drivers
Teenagers starting to smoke
Not wearing helmets or seat belts
or, a BK favorite, driving while phoning.
Where is the Fear when we need it?
Then there is the misdirected fear:
after 9/11 these was much discussion of the danger of flying, little discussion about the danger of being in a high-rise.
