Here's my question for today:  What's the name for Italian meat sauce made with sausage?  I have some Bob Evans I need to use and a jar of Newman's Own, so that's what I'll make for my dinner.

I will have the two LAW & ORDER shows from last night to watch, and I'm looking forard to them. There is also BOSTON LEGAL.

BTW, I wouldn't be surprised if Mark Valley gets written off the show by the end of the season. I read that he'll be starring in a comedy pilot for another network, and if the show gets picked up, he'll be off BOSTON LEGAL. Of course, I have never felt that they got the most out of him anyway. After seeing him on the brilliant and underrated KEEN EDDIE, he's fully capable of carrying a show on his own.

BOSTON LEGAL found Clarence on his first case, and it happened to be a murder trial for which he felt himself extremely inadequate but managed to pull himself together (with the help of his wig) to do what needed to be done.

And here I was talking about Mark Valley leaving the series, and the producers pull a BIG surprise on me. However, I suspect all was not what it seemed last night.

I'm pretty sure I'd read that Craig Bierko was actually going to be in a new show.  But I also loved Mark Valley in "Keen Eddie."

Dear BK and Dear Readers,

What is your iPod's name? I had to give mine a name when I was installing it. The computer's suggestion was Sandra's iPod, which I found incredibly boring. So I named it Artaxerxes.

Also, what color is your iPod? Artaxerxes is blue.

I'm pretty sure it's "ragu", same as if made with hamburger.

You might also consider it a "bolognese" sauce, although it's difficult to say where ragu ends and bolognese begins.

In my culinary experience, ragu is more akin to what we Americans eat...with a hearty base of tomatoes and tomato sauce and paste...but also with a fair amount of meat.

Bolognese is more minimalist in its use of tomato sauce and paste, but is meaty.

I've had "tortellini bolognese" and other bolognese concoctions and they've all pretty much tasted like one of my spagehetti sauce recipes that I have long loved.

I probably use more tomato sauce than a true bolognese calls for, but I am very generous with the meat quantiy, too.

We found out some more of the English words Quan knows. Like any self-respecting three-year-old, he can say "No!" He can also say "Sponge Bob." And when he saw a picture of the little mermaid, he called her "fish feet."

DR SWW - who knew there was so much GOOD tv?

The great thing about it is - at least half of those programs will be repeated before April.

Watching THE BUBBLE BOY with Jake Gyllenhaal - and it's funny.  Who knew?

Swoozie Kurtz on the phone to the unresponsive police:  "Oh really.  Uh-huh.  Well you will certainly be in my prayers.  Uh-huh.  I'll pray you get nut cancer!"

Here's a thought....go out and have a GOOD TIME.  Go see a movie you've longed to see.  Visit a local pub and shoot darts and swill a few pints.
No.  When I go out, WE go out.

Plus I've got work tomorrow.

Perhaps he thought you would enter via the Stage Door!

:)

That would work for the future office, for now the building is a bank on the main floor.

DR Cillaliz - So, I'm guessing you at least felt safe with your driver this morning?

;)

Yes, I felt safe with him...although I did have to tell him he could watch the road and drive and I'd figure out how to work the defroster. (He couldn't see the dials very well)

The car ended up being ready in about 2 hours. The other lawyer in the office had to go to that part of town so he dropped me off to pick it up. The driver was there and he said "Wait, didn't I just drop you off somewhere?"   I told him it was the funniest morning I've had in a long time and he just started laughing and said "Have a good one, dear"

I'm pretty sure I'd read that Craig Bierko was actually going to be in a new show.  But I also loved Mark Valley in "Keen Eddie."

That may be; I hadn't seen that. I KNOW I read Mark Valley had signed to do a comedy pilot, I think for NBC. I remember his picture accompanied the article.

Maybe both are leaving. BOSTON LEGAL hasn't done anything important with either of them all season.

I was right about Valley's pilot. He's the article in part from Zap2It.com:

""Boston Legal" star Mark Valley is headed to NBC, signing on as one of two leads for the comedy "Business Class."

Valley, who plays Brad Chase on "Boston Legal," will play an amoral salesman in "Business Class," a comedy from "Simpsons" veterans Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein. The show centers on Valley's character and a rival salesman who live their lives on the road."

Good Afternoon!

Well, that was fun.  Well, at least painless.  For me, at least.  For the people behind the table... Well... ??? ;)

But I did have a good time, and it was a very relaxed audition.  And I got to start off with the "piano playing" portion this time, and that helped me a lot to relax.  *And I got brownie points for sight-reading the new arrangements.

The singing... Well.. The Beadle's songs were lowered, so now they sit too low for me.  But I sang.

As for the acting... Well, at least I didn't stutter.  ;)

Well, since the weather wasn't too bad - :-\ - I went ahead and walked up to Columbus Circle from the casting director's office.

On the way, I stopped at Amy's Breads and picked up some goodies for later.  Well, actually, right now, I'm thoroughly enjoying a slice of their Dark Chocolate Cherry Bread.  Soooo good.  A great chocolate bread, with hunks of dark chocolate and dried cherries.  And it's just sweet enough. -And I'm trying my best not to eat the whole boule right now.
