Well, you've read the notes, the notes had sheen and polish and were quite Brazilian, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're getting a Pacoima wax.

I'm here!
It has been quite a while since I have been on page one.  But luckily It is a four day weekend for us school children.

My acting teacher is having my old scene partner and I do our scene in front of a beginning acting class as an example of good work...however I do not feel the scene was all that amazing last semester, and I do not know if it will be this performance (next Thursday afternoon). Perhaps.

Friday morning greetings.

As promised here is the link to the Middletown Journal obituary for DR Elmore's father:

William E. Moore

You may have to register (free) to have access to the site.  The write-up contains the Hospice address that DR Jane asked for earlier, too.

Thanks for the link, DR GINNY.  I got it all and didn't have to register.  The photo was very nice.

Have not received my Brain yet. Maybe today.

And the first I'll do when I get it:

I will while away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers
Consultin' with the rain
And my head, I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a BRAIN FROM PLANET X

The snow has turned to ice on the streets of New York. It's not pretty anymore. It's cold here as well, though not as cold as in the Midwest.

I'm listening to BBC Radio Cleveland right now, then I will listen to Donald's show.

We will watch As Time Goes By tonight after dinner.

Saturday evening we will trek up to the northern regions of Manhattan. A friend is having a house warming party at his newly renovated apartment. He moved in over a year ago but now all the work is finished and his bf has moved in (that happened a few months ago) so now it's time to celebrate with a party.

Sunday afternoon we will continue our party at Anthony's cousin. They also live uptown but not as far (96th Street as opposed to 181st Street). We will see cousins and eat pizza and celebrate the twin birthdays of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Who knew that they were both born on the same day and on a Monday even  ;)

Monday is scheduled to be quiet although we do need to buy some groceries. Perhaps the crowds at Trader Joe's will not be so bad at 9am on President's Day. I love Trader Joe's, the prices are good, the quality is good but I'm disenchanted with the lines. If you don't go at 9am when the store opens you face lines of epic proportions. The charm of waiting 20 minutes in a line to pay for 3 items is wearing thin. I do go to 2 other grocery stores but that's a lot of walking/lugging just for foodstuffs.

Good morning, all! I slept so well last night that I missed a terrorizing phone call from our DR MBarnum.

Randy tells me that several of the things I implied my father's company payed for for on Macbeth's behalf were actually paid for from my parents' bank account.  One thing about that obituary, though: Lady M will chew nails over dad's "special friend" being included!  Thanks for posting it, DR Ginny!

Today, I pick up my trousers and, if needed, go out to buy a new suit.  Beyond that, I have lots of work.

Here I am at work for an information-waitressing day.  Because someone has called in sick, one of my hours will be at the dreaded computer sign-up desk :P

Re: open caskets at funerals.

I think some nationalities just do this.  I know my brother-in-law's family (filipino) always does this.  I don't really care to look (so i just keep my glasses off so i can't see clearly from across the room).

I'm not sure what all Jewish families do.  But i recall seeing the caskets open during the private family sittings (before the funeral).

DR Elmore, I thought it was very nice that your family mentioned your Dad's special friend.

I'll still be thinking of you and your family in my prayers today.  And I'm sending some trouser vibes--just in case.

I don't have an iPod or an mp3 player. I rely on the Internet and CDs for my musical entertainment. Perhaps at some point in the future I will break down and purchase an mp3 player. Perhaps at the same time I will break down and purchase a cell phone and upgrade the home Internet account to high speed.

And the word of the day is: OSCULATE!
Casey would OSCULATE
With a strawberry blonde,
But not while they were dancing -
Much as they were both light on their feet,
Neither of them could walk and chew gum at the same time,
And OSCULATING while dancing would have been the kiss of death.
