We will try to see a show when we're on NY for our premiere on the 30th. We're torn between The Drowsy Chaparone and Curtains. (I do love David Hyde Pierce.)

Thoughts?

I think DROWSY CHAPERONE is a brilliant show, and CURTAINS is still finding its way, and I hope it can in the next three weeks.  If you love David Hyde Pierce, then you should catch CURTAINS.  I have no idea what the replacements in CHAPERNE will be like; the original cast was wonderful.

My first day of calling in sick to an editing job in the past 10 years. If you have to have the flu, it's a good day to stay home because you cannot drive into Atlanta. A bus full of college kids---a baseball team from Bluffington University in Ohio---drove off a bridge and landed on I-75. At least 6 of them died. It's a huge tragedy. The bus also landed on some cars. My commuting route will be gridlocked for hours.

Oh, how awful.

Edisaurus, that is so sad about the kids on the bus. I hope the injured will be all right.

Greetings from the first morning after the first night in the city of the heim of Ana.  (that's getting old)

Getting ready for a day of reflection, some good music and some great content (one can hope, eh?) One never knows what one is getting into at the Religious Ed. Congress.  I check my workshops that I signed up for before I went to bed and it seems like today's chosen workshop all have a "media" theme to them.

Speaking of media - TOD

iPod - my trip "playlist" - listened to 65 of 120 songs on the way down yesterday (plus the Brain from Planet X)

no VHS or DVD in the hotel room.

More later....

Edisaurus' traffic jam:

AP
Quote
ATLANTA  —  A charter bus carrying a college baseball team from Ohio plunged off a highway ramp early Friday and slammed into the pavement below, killing six people, injuring 29 and scattering sports equipment across the road, authorities said.

At least three of the injured are in critical condition

From what I understand, DROWSY CHAPERONE is going to tour next season, and I'm sure it will make it to Atlanta. CURTAINS at this point is less of a certainty, so if I could only pick one, I'd pick that one.

As for this week's MEDIUM.

SPOILERS

DR MattH, OMG i loved it too. It was so fabulous and unpredictable. That serial killer was so creepy. And the ending was so fabulous and chilling i just loved it.  I suppose it could have been predicted. But I just didn't see it coming.  So thrilling. I loved, loved it.

What I loved most about it is that we as viewers got played right along with Allison and Scanlon. The killer was always one jump ahead of us, and I LOVED being fooled and foiled. And that ending was expert!

Good morning!

We had a violent, stormy night with pounding rain and swirling winds (tornadoes in some areas) that kept me awake past 2 a.m.

Right now, of course, it couldn't be more glorious and the air is SO clear after that huge rain we had all day yesterday. Highs in the 60s today, so an early spring day for us.

I didn't get a chance to watch the IDOL results show last night due to tending to my friend, and this morning, the names of the ejected players were printed in the newspaper, so I figured I wouldn't bother watching since I knew the outcome. However, since DR Jennifer was enthusiastic about Kellie Pickler (and there was some discussion in the newspaper this morning about her somewhat obvious breast augmentation), I will watch portions of the show this afternoon.

As for those ejected, isn't it funny that both vocalists who sang the Broadway song "Feelin' Good" were among those ejected this week? What a coincidence!

In other news...

I may have to head out into our "backyard" and clear out the drain in the middle of the patio. Right now, there's a big "puddle" out there, and from what I can tell, it looks like the water may have come up to the same level as the threshhold of the frenchdoors.  Nothing came into the apartment, but it looked like it started to seep in sometime last night.

OH... And update from yesterday....

RE: My Good "AAAAAAGGGHHHHHH!!!".  As of the phone call I had a couple of minutes ago, it looks like things may work out for this potential gig.  "They" are having another meeting this afternoon, and my "contact" would really like me on board.  I'm supposed to start next week, and he's willing to work around the fact that I will be in Atlanta for most of next week, so...

That's where things stand now.

Again, it was really was just nice to get the call.

Ohhh.... And since the subway seems to be a bit weather-affected this morning, I guess I should get ready sooner than later for the auditions I'm playing this afternoon.

Odd dream last night, about such an odd thing.  I was trying some flavors of oatmeal  for breakfast that I'm not used to, and in my dream this trivial thing seemed to be an important decision.  Wondering if it's a fear of taking chances, even about trivial things, but that doesn't seem to be me, so maybe it's a warning.
