I have a Mike's Corral softball uniform shirt hanging in my closet.  Navy blue pinstripes on a white background, very nylon, with the number 53 on the back, quite unique.  I doubt that I'll ever wear it again, of course, but one never knows for sure.

I never did have the pants.  I was a scorekeeper, not an on-the-field guy.  I wore jeans, instead.

HEROES SPOILERS

from last night's SHOW

It was basically one twist after another. Wow.

I'm not sure what my favorite part was. I liked it when that girl morphed herself into simone (i guess they had shown simone on the previews).  But I LOVED it when she morphed herself into mrs bennett. And the best part of that was that i should have seen it coming. But totally didn't!

I liked claired sneaking off. But i LOVED it when grandma petrelli opened the door and the haitian was there. Hi grandma!  So the haitian is working for her???

I also liked that nathan helped hiro. And for once i even liked niki (helping nathan). And I LOVED ando showing up as security. So great.

And then the end with mohinder. Wow. And Peter. ANd sylar. Crazy.

Okay i forgot to mention something. Actually two things. Nathan being good (working with the FBI). But the craziest thing to me was Linderman. Why was i expecting some mob boss. And instead we have some white haired guy who loves cooking. What was up with that????

TOD:   One of the best gifts I ever got was a quilt made by my mother.  She clandestinely collected a bunch of my old favorite T-shirts that were too worn to wear, cut the significant art/lettering bits into uniform squares, and turned them into that wonderful quilt, which I still treasure!

You've got something against good food?

Linderman himself said that cooking was one of the few things in life where he could come close to perfection.

And Malcolm McDowell has had white hair for ages.

You DO know who Malcolm McDowell is, right?

DR Miss Karen, I just came up with a better answer to your question.  About that upper fish on my avatar?  It's just pixelated to protect you from the naughty bits!!

I doubt it - DR Jose is hardly anorexic.

He could be.  I've never seen him and Anna Rexic in the same room at the same time.

As for the Topic of the Day...

Yep, I'm another t-shirt horder - especially when it comes to show t-shirts.  -No matter how worn out or faded the logo was/is getting.  However, in my latest round of sorting and purging, I did start to get trash some t-shirts which were either too big, too full of holes, or both.

And, of course, I have a few t-shirts which I've bought that I've never worn.  One of them is from the Kennedy Center's Sondheim Celebration since it has such a large decal transfer(?) on it.  It would just crack.  I think.

*And will soon be up for bidding on e-Bay. ;)

TOD:

T shirts of course
A lovely 1983 white tuxedo that was given to me when I did some Bridal Show....it's scary now....but it was au courant at the time, to be sure.

HOWEVER - because I am a board member of the lovely Putnam County Playhouse, I don't have to throw ANY clothes away - I can put them in the costume collection.  AND then I can put them in my shows, or others and see items from my closet onstage!

EXCEREBROSE and VERBOSE do not belong together.  But that doesn't mean that they don't cozy up to each other every now and then.

And Topic of the Day - Part Deux

I had a sweat shirt from a high school/community theatre production I music directed of "Fame: The Musical".  First of all, the show itself is not exactly the greatest work of art - and not even the good-est work of art.  Secondly, the logo the company came up with for the show was, to put it in a word, ugly.  And sort of questionable: it was a drawing of a teenage girl wearing short-shorts and a t-shirt.  ???  In any case...

At closing night, the cast gave me a hooded sweatshirt that they had all signed for me.  I never wore it.  And whenever I would do the occasional clothing purge, I would want to throw it out - since I wasn't going to wear it - but then I would have this fear that someone would be digging through my garbage - which happened a lot in Richmond - and I'd end up seeing someone on the street wearing it.  (Was that enough of a run-on sentence for you?)  And I didn't want to see anyone else wearing it, especially since my name was on it ("You rock, Jose!", "Jose, you the Man!", etc.).  People would know that it originally belonged to me!

Well, I eventually got over that "fear", and threw it out.  But not before cutting it in half, and wrapping it up in multiple plastic bags.

::)

Happy Birthday to Ms Mary Jane (Allison) Hayes.

March 6, 1930 - February 27, 1977

Here she is wearing the epitome of 1958 fashion (Frederick's style) with Mr Gene Barry in their film "Hong Kong Confidential."

She is also sporting a large heart-shaped ring that she wore in many film and television appearances.  The outfit itself (also her own) also was featured in "Pier 5: Havana" and "The Hypnotic Eye."  8)

I would suggest this outfit as something DRS CILLA LIZ and LAURA might consider wearing in court.

I have a show jacket from my time touring with Sesame Street Live. Since I played Oscar the Grouch the jacket (baseball style w/snaps) is a quite vibrant Green

I also have a jacket from when I worked with The NAMES Project

I also have some T-shirts. Not as many as I used to but I have kept a few from college that have strong sentimental value and my T-shirt from Mont Saint Michel. Having a husband whose parents live in a house on Long Island helps in keeping stuff like this because all the aforementioned items are now in a dresser in the basement of the house on Long Island.

When I cleaned out my closet last summer - I threw away 15 bags of clothing....I didn't even look at a lot of the stuff (and I didn't want to see any of it onstage) - gone.  Not even worth taking to the thrift store....believe me.  I think many t shirts went in those bags.....
