Cablevision is supposed to be sending a technician between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM tonight to fix the cable service which has mysteriously gone on the fritz since sometime on Wednesday.

Thankfully, internet service is separate and has been unaffected.

Some days we've got a lot to say; some days, not so much.

DR FJL - So, do you think a cab could make it from Chelsea to BAM in less than 30 minutes?  :-\

Friday morning greetings!  Grantseeking Basics was a smash last night with 29 people in attendance.  Today I have a midday meeting at Wright State University, after which I'm taking the rest of the afternoon off - YAY!

TOD - CD(car) - audiobook,  Lauren Willig's The Deception of the Emerald Ring, narrated by Kate Reading (aka actress Jennifer Mendenhall, who I hope to see in Dead Man's Cell Phone in June).  She's my all-time favorite audiobook narrator.

DVD, VCR - nothing - watching World Figure Skating Championships on ESPN instead

Good morning all. Not much to report.  I was a little late getting to the coffee shop...but that's ok, it was actually kind of nice to just go in, buy coffee and go to work.

For those so inclined, there is an amusing theatre blog here.

Be sure to check out the SCRIPTS down the left hand column.

Thanks, DR (and God - congrats!) singdaw.  An encore is assured - I do this same workshop once a month.

I meant to mention when DR Ben talked about Ant's audition for SHEAR MADNESS that the show had a nine month run here, the longest in the history of Charlotte theater.

The authors personalize the show for the area where it's being performed, so it get A LOT of local attention, and it also is a VERY funny show which leaves the audience feeling good and with  goofy smiles on their faces when it's over.

And crossed fingers and toes for his auditions today, too!!

OH!!

DR MusicGuy - Your "generosity" was a hit at rehearsal yesterday!  I hope you don't mind me sharing.  And if you do, you can just reprimand me later.  ;)

Thank you, again.

Tonight, I am attending a performance of THE DONKEY SHOW, of all things.

My friend who directed and choreographed me in BABY was the choreographer for THE DONKEY SHOW, and he has invited me to come see his work. Needless to say, I have heard horrendous things about the content of the show, and I'm not looking forward to it. I must also drive 52 miles to see this thing.

But, that's what being a friend is all about, I guess.

As I will be driving up in the afternoon to spend time with my friend and have a meal before the show, I will not be back on-line this afternoon. My next group of postings will be when I return this evening.

He told me the show is less than 90 minutes (I think there is an intermission), so I should be home at a decent hour even with that long drive back home.

It is part sunny/part cloudy here today and the ground is absolutely soggy. A great day.

Oops! I left SHORT CUTS off my Media Check list of DVR titles. Since it's three hours long, I don't when I'll find the time to watch that.
