Good morning, all!  Well, the constant dreams about Kurt Weill's KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY between 7 and 8 am finally forced me out of my drowsy state, and here I am.  I will shortly head off to Toyland for some edits, and then I will see a film with my college friend Matthew.   Oh, I have another attempted trek to the US Postal Service this morning after yesterday's frustration.

Happy Birthday to DR Angela!

Happy birthday to beekay!

Come back more often.

So much to catch up on from last night...

Turtle pie... [?]

Cookie porn...

Wonderfully cautiously optimistic news about Sherlock, though we're not completely out of the woods yet.  **RECOVERY AND HEALING VIBES** to DD Sherlock, DR Jane, and DH Keith.  And thanks very much to DR PennyO for the updates.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR Angela!

Oh, and Fritz is out of the shower...cable service is restored.  Something to do wth the outside wiring.

Oh, and I'm up.    :)

I got a DVR from Comcast and that's pretty much what I've been using almost exclusively.  I do have a VCR hooked up to it so that I can tape things that I want to keep...and there have been a few things.  Now, all I have to do is get a DVD burner that I can hook up to the DVR and then I won't need the VCRs anymore!

Does that DVR allow you to record two programs at one time?

How come the "time" is off on the posts?  It's currently 7:20 a.m., but the posts are being timestamped about 12-13 minutes later.

Good morning!

I didn't have a very long night's sleep, much to my disappointment. I was probably still brooding over the complete waste of an evening with THE DONKEY SHOW.

But I'm trying to move past it.

It's going to be a glorious day here with a high of 82!! Spring? No, early summer!

My friend Jeff is taking me out to an early lunch to express his thanks for my caring for him during his recent illness. A nice gesture, and since we're going to a Chinese buffet (not my beloved, now gone Chine House but rather another one called Tin-Tin), I'm sure I will soon have a smile on my face.

I finished HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX last night. It's a very dark book indeed, and I suspect the two remaining ones are as well. Very sad to see one of the famous characters die in this book (and heartbreaking to see Harry's reaction to the death). I understand more beloved characters are also on the way out in subsequent books. A shame but necessary when dealing with the Dark Lord.

Very excited to finally see THE MUSIC LOVERS on laserdisc tonight after so many years of waiting to see it again in its entirety. No, not a great film, but it's got great and unforgettable moments.

Enjoy the Chinese food, Matt.

Today is my haircut day (every third Saturday).

I'm sure Miss Erin will keep me amused for an hour.

BK What's the context of the drugs?  You can IM me if you want to, but I'm wondering is it something prescribed by a doctor, something given by a friend or family member, something bought off the street?  It could make a big difference in what drug it would be

So much to catch up on from last night...

Turtle pie... [?]...

Generally, Turtle=chocolate/caramel/pecan combo

Specifically, last night's pie=chocolate crumb crust, chocolate cream filling, caramel/pecal topping, whipped cream with chocolate shavings.

What I learned = not to eat turtle pie right before going to bed :P
