After reading DR MATTH's post today, I decided to watch THERE'S NO BUSINESS LIKE SHOW BUSINESS.....

First movie we ever saw in color on our tv....well the second. It was on the Saturday night late movie, THE LAST VOYAGE was on Saturday Night At The Movies on NBC.

Remember when stars used to be stars because of their talents?

Will we never get to page fifteen? Will we have more than three posts in an hour? Only time will tell and right now time is being mum on the subject. I guess the meeting begins in twenty minutes or whenever everyone arrives. I also have no idea how many people are coming. And if there's anything I can do to make the meeting go faster than two hours, I will, of course, do so.

No, DR singdaw, I didn't make another pie today, but DH Richard and I just finished the one I made yesterday (we'd sent most of what was left last night back to Cincinnati with our DS).

What I did make today was a lot of college students very nervous about the funding research they have to do.

Thank you again for all the welcome homes & good vibes. Sherlock is doing okay & wants to jump & play. One of us is with him at all times to prevent him from scratching or biting himself. We might go crazy before this is over.

I can’t manage reading the posts, watching him & trying to keep up with the little things, like washing dishes. Ben & Cason please email me if you have good news, I will be thinking of you.

Well, I'm off (always have been...a little

). Anyway, tonight, I start house-sitting for my sister. She and my niece (her daughter) and a friend of my sister's since college went to Vegas for the week. They don't come back until Saturday morning at about 2:30 am. Fortunately, I didn't have to drive them at 5:00 am, this morning to the airport and I don't have to pick them up from the airport. But I need to stay at their house. My sister and niece have three cats that have different food schedules/brands, so it all must be coordinated. I still need to go to my house and take care of my cat, but she's spent time alone, so that shouldn't be a problem. Also, my sister has a computer, so I'll be able to log on anytime.

AND they have a wide/flatscreen TV!! I can watch some DVDs in the proper aspect ratio!! It'll be like going to the movies, but at home...well, my sister's home.

RE: tonight's DANCING WITH THE STARS.

I also like that we get to see each pair twice before voting. But i still wish they would revert back to season one voting, as this year and last the public has too much control. I think it should be 50% voting from the judges and 50% from the public.

My favorite is still apolo.

But i was so impressed by 2 couples tonight.

Heather mills. And billy ray.

Bill ray was so far beyond the dreck he showed last week. I just could not believe it.

And heather was so m uch better as well. She was better than many of the other dancers. And got great scores!

Have I ever mentioned that we live near the soon-to-be-replaced local hospital? And that we're on the flight path for the medical helicopters that come from the bigger hospital in Dayton? Well, one just came in for a landing, so low that it rattled the windows and ruffled the trees in our backyard. That's a sound that we'll "miss" when they open the new hospital out by the interstate later this year.

Actually, I've ridden in a military helicopter that visited the campus where I worked 25 years ago or so. I think it was noisy inside.
