I'd have been up for pancakes, but I just got back from the flicks and have gorged on popcorn. Saw LOST IN TRANSLATION. Very nice. Bill Murray has evolved from comedian to a lovely actor in his last few films.
No, was never a huge fan of Doug McClure's limited acting range...but I did work twice with James Drury in dinner theatre...THE RAINMAKER & ONCE MORE WITH FEELING, have seen him a few times since and there is a warm feeling for Jimbo.
Sorry, Matt H., but in practically every scene with Frodo either he or Sam weep...While given the task and the circumstance, I can understand some blubbering up to a point, I still think they could have found a few different notes every once in a while. It's not a big complaint, mind you, but I noticed it enough for it to take me out of the story upon occasion. When you're noticing the acting (or perhaps, directorial) choices, you're no longer enmeshed in the story.
