I have the day off, but it's not going to be a real day off, as I have more to do today than I would if I were working. See y'all later!

DR JoseSPiano -

Yeesh.  That was too close for comfort.   :P  Glad you got there [just] in time, and that you had a good show, and that you're feeing a bit better.     :)   But seriously, why didn't you call me from the train?  I'd have happily served as Jose's taxi service...     8)

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I slept rather well... However...  I've already taken my morning Prilosec, and had my breakfast (yogurt and granola).

Is Clownnapping a Federal or State offence?

Well, in some circles that would actually be considered a Public Service.

Trust me, DR singdaw, the thought did cross my mind.  I think I was just a bit shocked and dumb-founded that I had done such a thing - and according to the schedules, that should have been the train to Westport.  Alas, I also felt a bit foolish for doing such a thing.  However, if it turned out the next train back would not have gotten me to the theatre in time, trust me, calls would have been made.

*There just also seemed to be a lot of traffic last night on the highway - at least what I could see from the train, so if I would have called anyone, it would have been the company manager.  I think.  In any case, I made it.

And, apparently, the first couple rows of the audience get soaked too.

Catching up from yesterday...

DR elmore - As for the possibility of staying up in Westport last night, Belgian waffles weren't a part of that possible decision.  -Although, I will admit that the thought did cross my mind.  I was just coming up with a contingency plan in case I started feeling sick again after the show, that's all.  Besides, with the acid reflux I'm dealing with, I don't Belgian Waffles would help matters.  :(

As for Ask BK Day - Continuing my theme, as it were, from last week...

If you could ask any of the following people a question about a particular show, production number, etc., what would it be (and why)?

Morton Da Costa
Gower Champion
Michael Bennett
Harold Prince

...And there's been a strange-but-good side effect from the GERD... With all the coughing and hacking (sorry to be so graphic) I've been dealing with over the past couple of days, my abs are feeling toned and taught.  -A little sore too, but still... even my jeans are fitting better.  ;)

...And with my modified diet due to the acid reflux, it's also provided with an excuse/reason to get back to eating healthier too.

However, that does not mean I can't buy Levain cookies for other people.  ;)

Well, time for me to get ready.  I don't have to leave the apartment until 10:30, but I just don't want to find myself rushing to get out of here later.  So, I shall ready myself now.

I have just woken up, in the middle of the night, from a very unusual dream.

It was a musical about Gertrude.  They were singing "Gertie is Back!"  But I'm still not sure if they were singing about Gertrude Lawrence or Gertrude Stein.

Could it be Gertrude Berg?

Guttle--isn't that the name of one of Tevye's daughters?  You know, the one who couldn't sing?

I'm willing to lay odds bet that this will wind up on PBS, too.

Just bought a few more items from MR BK's garage sale.  Couldn't resist some of the titles.

It is very annoying when something like the seating brouhaha occurs because somebody "just thought of it" - and other people who paid the same money are suddenly traveling second class.  SOMEBODY should be given a talking to.

bk, I asked a few days ago, but you may have missed it: what is the difference between a "view" and a "hit" on HHW, for statistical purposes?

Was it in color, or black and white?

Thanks for sharing.  :)

DR SWW - The Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that you have divided your life into equal parts of comedy and drama and that you feel "onstage" a lot or at least in "performance" mode.

DR SINGDAW everyone of those gals would have been fired for having their hair down - and in the food!

And the girl in the center would be prettier if she didn't have her apron up under her teles.  8)

Good morning, all!

DR Jose, I'm sorry about the acid reflux.  It gives me grief as well.  I did finaly make my first visit to Levain ysterday.  The cinnamin butter brioche is quite tasty.

Today:  post office and the NYPL theatre collection.

I had to delete what I originally posted.  Turns out I had poor info here.
