There were a couple of SciFi boards that I found within a few days of being on the internet in 1997....not sure if they still exist.

Ebay was an early discovery, my sister had been on the net about six months and so she knew all about it.

A site called B MOVIES also had many interviews with people I was familiar with from their appearances in SCI FI!!

I found a hotel (residence inn) near Carnegie-Mellon that accepts dogs. One hotel down, two more to go. I hope we can make the trip from DC in one day, I had to make a decision when to begin the hotel reservations.

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that. I was thinking that shirt doesn't go with that tie. And I have bad taste.

I hope to see you too. I'm just trying to figure out where you would park. Hmm...

In any case... I've gone ahead and secured a cab for tonight just to be safe. If we can visit for a short while in the parking lot, then that would be great. If not, then next time. And I don't want you to feel rushed or obligated to leave your other function tonight. -Besides, I'll see you tomorrow night.

-I just hope we start as close to "on time" tonight as possible. Last Thursday, due to seating issues and special introductions during the curtain speech, we did not start the show until 8:16 - which meant we did not come down until 8:29. That made for some frantic cab rides to the train station apparently.

If Craig's flight gets in on time, and customs doesn't take too long, you should be able to get on the road before the major rush hour crush. Pittsburgh is about four and a half to five hours away from DC, and most of the trip is on I-270/70 and I-76/376.

If you don't want to feel rushed, I'd suggest just taking your time at the airport. Maybe grab dinner nearby, then get on the Beltway around 6:30 after all the bad traffic is over. That should get you up to Pittsburgh by 11:00 with less aggravation.

MBarnum, I found out that our editor friend is going to be working at the world famous "Famous Studios" in none other than Mumbai, India. Sounds like he's taking the whole family. Should be quite an adventure!
