If you have nothing to say, then say it in a post.  A perfect solution.  For example, I have nothing to say and I am saying it quite well in a post.  Panni, of course, is BUSY and will be missing because she is BUSY.  I will have plenty to say very soon and I think some people will be very pleased by what I have to say.  New things a'comin'.  Meanwhile, this is the best posting day we've had in ages and I, for one, LOVE it.  I LOVE it, do you hear me?  If you've read the Kritzer Time preview and would like to comment on it other than here, do take a moment to post about it under the Benjamin Kritzer board thread.  Or not.  Of course, the evening is far from over - we could just have another posting frenzy or, at the very least, a posting fre.

Oh, things to say. My friend Megan is having surgery on her arm tomorrow. She should be fine, but she's nervous.  Please keep her in your thoughts.

My "bro" Mikers's flight out of Seattle was cancelled because of the snow! I hope he can get in tomorrow! Boo to snow! I planned the date of my dinner around him. I really hope he can get here!

EEEE my ex-crush Drew is coming to dinner on Thursday. This should be interesting. I hope I can act normal! He's gorgeous! My mantra: "He's your ex-crush, Laura. He's your ex-crush..."

I thought I said nothing in a post.

Dang!  I can't do nothing any other way.

TCB:  What's with the puzzled smilies with question marks?  Couldn't you find a "Who me?" icon with an innocent moue?

Moo who?

I don't know.

Where is Maya Rose tonight?

DR LauraII;  Here's hoping that "Miker" makes it in time for your dinner.

And should we hope that "Drew" has suddenly gone gay?  Or do you hope something might start up again?

We could have another posting frenzy here if we put our collectively singular minds to it.

TD could do some damage.  I know I can throw tons of bull around, dress it in the English language, and still say nothing.

For I maintain I have NOTHING to say.

Come on, y'all!

I'm dyin' here.

I need finger massages.

Or, at least, a glass of iced tea.

Ron--Thanks for the wishes about Mikers!

About Drew: I'd have absolutely no problem if something could start again. This brings back memories of junior year. We used to write notes to each other and leave them in each other's lockers. Very cute/fun/strange times.

Hmm, "where is Maya?" must be the question on everyone's mind. I want to talk to her!

And that was when?  Way back a year and a half ago?

2002?

Way back then?

It took a long time to get through the posts...I was also watching Whoopie's new show, a bit of "Frasier" and now I'm watching Christine Baranski's new show.

And I read the excerpt of "Kritzer Time."  Ooo...exciting! :o I can't wait until it's officially published!

Well, Jed (and others)...I got a call from my supervisor AGAIN! (sort of).  He called and said that tomorrow will be a late day.  We have to be there at noon.  It's not the whole day off, but least I get to sleep in. :D

As for DR MattH's question, I, for one, am looking forward to Nationals.

I'm not agog or anything.

Sasha Cohen has been winning many competitions this year, but she recently unraveled when she had the entire competition in her pocket.  Michelle Kwan had done a very nice, but flawed skate and had gotten some of her worst-ever technical marks.

And she still won, because Sasha always finds a way to be worse than Michelle when everyone believes she's the finest technical skater in the world.  Well, Dick Button thinks so.

Isn't Dick Button "everyone"?

Random-ish thought of the moment: Isn't it frustrating when someone IMs you or comes up to talk to you, and you can't remember his or her name? That just happened to me. Mike(rs)'s little bro IMed me, and I couldn't remember his name for the life of me. I don't want to ask Mike either because I feel bad. Oy vey. :)

As for the men's competition, feh!

It will be Michael Weiss or Timothy Goebel.  Weiss will win if he can land a quad.

Goebel will win if Weiss falls on the quad.

Goebel can do five quads in a program, but his artistic flair is nearly non-existent.  His programs are a series of quads and triples linked by unimaginative footwork and next-to-no grace or style.

Weiss has style and if he doesn't fall apart, even if he falls on his quad, he could pull it off.

But so what?  The world title belongs to Plushenko who can do little wrong.

Yes, where in tarnation IS Maya?  Won't she be surprised to see close to 400 posts.  Won't she be surprised to have missed out on all the merriment and mirth and laughter and legs.  Oh, yes, she will be surprised all right.

As for ice dancing and pairs, I don't have a blue clue who the skaters are any more.

I really stopped caring after Peter and Kitty Carruthers.

NONE of them ever did well enough to make me care how they fared....the U.S. is always 5th in the world or lower in both disciplines.

Now why is that???????

Ron: "That" was two years ago! :D

Hmm I don't understand much of this figure skating talk, but I must say I truly admire figure skaters. They possess skills that I don't have at all! It is thrilling to watch them perform.

Well, well, well.  That's three "Wells".  Who am I?  Jack Benny?

No!  Benny only used one "Well!"

And no other "Wells" were ever necessary!

He, of course, used body language.

I am now using body language to accompany my three "Wells."

My left leg is on my right knee and is very glad to be there.  My right wrist is on the wrist pad and my left hand is floating freestyle while I type.

Look at all the folks coming out of the woodwork.

I guess it's all the posts about nothing.

It just goes to show that if you post nothing long enough, someone else will post something.

I like the word "lutz".  That's my favorite thing about figure skating.  Triple lutz is my favorite.  Any lutz, actually, is fine by me.

I was right!

Geez, Laura II -- 2 years isn't that "long" a time...at least, not at my age.

For an 18-year-old, it's one-ninth of your whole lifetime, thus far.  Seems more significant, doesn't it!!!

It seems like only a few months ago to me.  Heck!  My vacation in Santa Fe was in July 2000 and it seems like it was last summer.

Yes, "lutz" is a fine word.

Mainly because it rhymes with "klutz" and so many skaters fall on the triple lutz that they become klutzes and the rest of their programs fall apart.

I'm fond of the Ena Bauer (sp????).  I'm sure MattH will let me know the correct spelling.  That's a very graceful move and few men have ever used it.

Rudy Galindo did it the year he won the Nationals.  That plus two triple-triple combinations.

I like the axel...the triple axel is a very hard jump.

I'm not fond of the flips and loops.  They're supposedly easy.  The best skaters always mess up and fall on the triple loop.  Michelle Kwan fell on the triple loop in the Olympics.  Dick Button said she can do that jump in her sleep.  I guess she was too awake or something.

I have a feeling that DR MattH and I might be chatting on the phone at some point during nationals....that is, if I don't get a tape-delay broadcast.

I hate those, but networks like to keep the West Coast in a primetime mode.  We get live sporting events "normally," but we always manage to get tape-delayed skating.

Sigh.

Hahaha Ron! That made me laugh audibly--not something I usually do!

I remember my trip to Disney World in 2000 like it was a few, well, years ago. I wish my mother hadn't misplaced the scrapbook I made about our trip! Pictures stimulate my memory very easily.
