Oh my, I just caught up to DR Danise's post.
((((((Danise)))))
I echo what the others have said. I have read your posts the last few weeks and have felt a little guilty just thinking about when my mother's time comes and knowing that I wouldn't be half as dedicated as you were to your mom's care. I just would never even have the physical stamina you did to take this on with such grace and courage. The lengths you went to to be there for her leave me in awe. I don't think many people are fortunate to have someone as devoted as you by their side. Even though you may have been asleep, I'm sure she knew you were there, and maybe she was asleep, too!
You did all you could and gave her a great quality of life for her last days with you, and you should never feel anything but proud for what you were able to do for her. The fact that you were there is what matters.
((((Love and light to you, Danise!))))
