Next, I watched the season finale of THE TUDORS with some surprising developments, especially concerning Cardinal Wolsey. If Henry commanded that what he did be kept secret, they did a good job (or the writers totally invented this as I had never heard this version concerning his death).

Ann Bolyn's brother George is played by a very handsome actor in the show. How about a miniseries about him! :D

I spent the remaining part of the evening watching the rest of the special features on the BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA DVD. Not much of depth in any of it, but the film itself more than makes up for the lack of any significent special features.

Tomorrow, I will return to ANGEL's fourth season. I want to make my dub of the Tony ceremony eliminating all commercials and lengthy, uninteresting acceptance speeches. I can usually boil it down to a little under two hours.

The rain that we've had on and off today has really cooled things down dramatically. I was able to turn off the central A/C tonight, and throw open the windows and let the attic fan pull in some nice cool air. Delightful!

Now, I'm going to tend to some writing and then head down for bed.

Good night!

Watching a good movie on DVD - if I'm up to it, I'll at least start History Boys afterwards.

If anyone is on the fence about Return To Oz, now would be a good time to order it.

Another planned trip, another mess with the airlines.  Sheesh!   They changed my 7:00 AM flight to a 6:30 AM flight and I didn't get notice. Luckily I checked the website.  So I called to see what was up. They guy was very nice. He said they sent out an autophone message and it was to my office number. Well, I'm not going to say someone got it because it's entirely possible no one did.....anyway, I told him that just wouldn't work and he found me a flight leaving at 8:52 am for no additional charge.   Cool. Now I can stay home tomorrow night, save on the hotel, save on the cat sitter....wow I'm saving enough that I just may spend it on a spa treatment of some sort when I get to Orlando!

I went grocery shopping today; I guess that means I have to cook tonight.

Which event, history suggests, will lead to a complete remodel of the kitchen :D

Poor Der Brucer! This has been flogged to death since we all started jumping on him about it this morning.

Thank you, dear.

Next, I had started recording the Richard Dix prison movie on TCM that contained a gay prisoner (who ironed everyone's shirts). HELL'S HIGHWAY was the name of the movie. Very melodramatic, of course, but on OK prison picture.

Coincidentally, I met Richard Dix' son Robert Dix (also an actor) when I was in Burbank...very nice guy.

DR S Woody: How was Kyra? I just got home from a contentious meeting in the new neighborhood and missed her. Was James Lipton as annoying as usual?

Kyra was delightful; I think Lipton is fun, and he gushed less than usual. Kyra needed little prompting and held center stage for most of the hour.

I had a strange thing happen this morning.  I was going down the elevator in the parking ramp on my way to work.  The doors opened and plop, a body fell backwards from outside the elevator and landed right in front of me.... needless to say I screamed....turns out it was a young man who was playing around and was leaning back on the elevator doors and let himself fall as they opened.

It was still strange. I apologized for screaming and told him he scared me. He didn't say a word, didn't smile didn't even really have any facial expressions. He just got up, walked into the elevator and went up.   Strange way to start the day

Sorry, I am still amazed by these shots:

I know the Earth is flat and this is NASA propaganda done by Disney, but so be it....

Still remember that gloomy day in 1954 when our request for a school charter for our Rocket Society was denied because rocketry and man-in-space stuff was childish fantasy and not interests worthy of pursuit by serious students.

Does Swiss Colony exist anymore?

Trivia: do you know who did the voice of the li'l ol' winemaker?

We were so close to four hundred, but, due to the WUSSBURGERS, we will not make it, although, that said, I could single-handedly take us there.
