OF CABBAGES AND KINGS
« on: June 18, 2007, 12:07:17 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were filled with cabbages and kings and other lovely things, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently eating the cabbage and looking for the Kings, which is a favorite team of theirs.

TOTD:
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. The "challenge" dance was my late Mother's favourite scene in any movie ever - and thus it will always be special to me.

Gone headache vibes for our host.  Drinking something sweet sometimes helps - or consuming DARK chocolate.

As I've said before - I like "Peeping Tom" but find Mr Boehm's accent offputting.

Of course it may only help with migraine headaches.

Of course it may only help with migraine headaches.

I work with a woman who gets migraine headaches when she eats any kind of chocolate.  It's very sad...she loves chocolate.

I'm off to bed.  Today is going to be a long day (after I sleep, that is).  I need to get to work early (this is the last week to pay the bills for this month, and a co-worker is on vacation) and we're having "Shrew" rehearsal tonight.  So, good night, Tomovoz and BK...and to any and all guests!

Good Morning all.

Sad to hear about Tommy Walsh. Anthony was not a friend of his but when he worked at The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in upstate NY years ago (before I knew him) the theatre did a tribute show to Mr. Walsh and Anthony was in the cast. He performed for Mr. Walsh who was very generous in his compliments. He also met the Walsh family. He was shocked and very sad to hear about Tommy's death.

TCB, you mentioned posting a picture of my brother. I don't have any current pictures ready for posting. After his visit I will post one but until then here is a shot of older brother (me) and younger brothers (my visiting brother is on the left)

The previous picture was taken in 1968. This picture was taken in 1986. I'm on the end (obviously). My youngest brother is on the other end. He had just returned from Fort Dix NJ. He went there for National Guard training. The brother who will be visiting is in the middle.

Good morning, all!  I may have to deal with the Post Office in the Toyland zip code this morning, so I have been up quite early.  When I got to the office yesterday, I found receipts for three registered pieces of mail that could not be delivered on Friday because no one was there, and I hope that this attempted delivery doesn't screw up the current lease situation, whatever it is.

I hope BK's headache has gone away by now. I have found that some ibuprofen and a cup of Starbucks coffee helps with headaches.
