Next, I watched THE UNINVITED on TCM. Robert Osborne insisted during his intro and during the follow-up after the film that he didn't see any lesbianism at all in the movie. Unless one was deaf, dumb, and blind, I don't see how you could miss the overt infatuation the woman who ran the mental institute had with the deceased mother of the young girl. She kept a GIANT portrait of the woman in her office, for goodness sake! And she spoke to it often, calling her "My darling" and "My angel."
Pretty obvious to me.
