What a night I had last night!  Jason Graae and I got together following last night's performance of OKLAHOMA! (which I'll actually be seeing over the weekend).  We talked, we walked, we drove and we went to PNC Stadium's ATRIA'S restaurant (owned by Johnny Angel of doo-wop fame).  There we were supposed to be hooking up with Paul Palmer who is in his 29th year of doing Pittsburgh CLO, but, alas, Mr. P. did not show. . .  Needless to say, the esteemed BK was a topic of discussion as was DR Larry Moore (Jason does a great impression of Larry); I won a five dollar wager with Jason:  the release dates of ALL THAT JAZZ and CRUISING.  A very good time was had by all.
When I got home, I found that the power was out, and had been out for well over two hours; it came back on at 4:00 this morning - five powerless hours - or I would have posted late last night when I got home.

Friday morning greetings!  I drove to work this morning in a thunderstorm.

Today's my last day to be here at work until July 5.  Actually, tomorrow through next Tuesday will be work-related days, but being away at a conference seems sort of like vacation to me.

TOD - CD(car) - the HHW birthday CD

DVD - since I have all my packing to do for DC/NYC, I'd better not sit and watch a movie tonight.

Lovely photos, DRs DearReaderLaura, Tomovoz, and Adriana Patti.  Thanks for sharing!  :)

Congratulations to DP Skip on another great notice for Herringbone.  I found this latest particularly helpful in understanding what the show is about and how it is structured.  It sounds fascinating!

DR Ginny - when do you and your DH depart NYC?

I am flying to Chicago this coming Friday, the day you arrive...  :(  And I won't return until late Sunday night.  I have to work Monday Jul 2, but am hoping you'll still be around that evening.

Great guy.  Great voice.  Great sense of humor.  Love those recordings he made with the esteemed BK, especially DRAT! THE CAT!

DR Singdaw - we actually arrive Thursday afternoon.  But on Monday, July 2, we fly out of LaGuardia at 5:55pm, so will probably leave the city by about 3.  Any chance we could get together Thursday evening?

DR Ginny - Yes, I'd be available Thursday eve the 28th, if it fits in with your plans.  I believe DRs elmore3003 and JoseSPiano are doing the master HHW scheduling.  But I'd be happy to come in, even if only for a brief meet and greet.  I won't be able to stay up late and play, as I'll have an early flight the next morning.

Good morning. I already walked for coffee, and I also walked to Walgreens to get some envelopes and stamps. A long day at the office today, I believe.

DR Singdaw - we have made no definite plans for Thursday evening.  Assuming Amtrak is running on schedule, we're due into Penn Station about 3pm.  We're not set on seeing a show that night or anything, so maybe a not-too-late dinner & visit would work.

DRs Elmore and Jose, does that mesh with the master plan?

Good morning!

Another cool morning, so the windows are open and the cool breezes are wafting into my home. I may be able to get one more morning of this before I have to close the house up again and turn on the A/C.

Seesaw was a Broadway musical, music by Cy Coleman with lyrics by Dorothy Fields.  It's the question of who actually wrote the book that teeter-totters.

TOD:
Car CD Player-The Ben McLaughlin BBC Wales special--delightful to hear Beverly Humphries hold him in such high esteem. It's like sitting in, listening to two dear friends converse, interspersed with some great music!
Home CD player: 5 BK produced CD's with lovely Elmore orchestrations.
DVD Player: I've had double sessions this week, but a lurid selection awaits me this weekend, courtesy of MBarnum!

I also still have on my DVR the Tony Awards broadcast which I haven't transferred to DVD-R yet (sans commercials and dull acceptance speeches). This is a project I really need to do this weekend so I can clear that three hour show off the DVR.

Is Stephen Buntrock related to child star Bobby Buntrock? It's such an unusual name...

Nothing on TV for me tonight, so if I don't end up going to MILLIE (still iffy at this point), I'll probably rewatch something. At this moment, I don't have a clue what that would be.
