Is it really morning???  Oh, I'm glad I'm not officially open yet. I haven't "gone out drinking" for a long long time, but that's essentially what I did last night and now I remember why I don't like to do that. Doesn't take much for my stomach to rumble and my head to hurt.  But I had a good time and was able to be supportive as Linda relived her first week or two of Katrina.   She's so devoted to rebuilding New Orleans, it's just got to be outrageously depressing

Time to shower, find something to eat and head to the office.  I still can't believe Paul Simon is doing a 30 minute concert at the West High School Softball Field. What a kick.

Ok, off I go....I do have a couple things I want to do at the office and I still want to go see Paul Simon, then it will be laundry and packing for the weekend at the lake.  I'm curious to see what he will play in 30 minutes. That can't be too many songs.

Just a few hours before I lead myself into Penn Station for my D.C. trip with Julie (and Milla will be joining us for part of the trip as well).

I'll be gone until Sunday night, and I may not be able to post much, for better or worse.  :)  So if it looks like I'm E&T for a couple of days, I guess I am.

I'm not a Dodd supporter, but when I was looking for Paul Simon info I found this on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=di1-G-VeQ2E   It's a video of Dodd playing baseball at the Field Of Dreams in Dyersville, IA yesterday. So if you want to see what it looks like today, here's a video - it's pretty much the same as it was in the movie except I don't think the fence was around the house in the movie

TOD: Children Running Through by Patty Griffin (has the Heavenly Day song on it -- love it!)

DCelt -- There was some clip of her singing with The Chieftans on YouTube -- but now I can't find it -- and can't find when and where she was singing with them.

DCelt ~ I found the answer:  The song "Whole Heap of Little Horses" -- Patty Griffin with The Chieftans on their Down the Old Plank Road (I may have to get that one!)

RE: yesterday's copyright issues and copying...I often will make what are considered back-up copies of DVDs which I have been known to share with others...however, I would not ever copy a legit release for resale.

As for grey market items...well, I have no problem purchasing grey market DVDrs of movies and vintage tv shows that companies like Universal, etc. can't seem to feel the need to release...some of these studios have a plethora of classic and not so classic films from the 30s, 40s, and 50s sitting in dusty warehouses...and by gosh I want to see these movies! So when collectors who have transferred their 16 mmm collections or old to DVD want to offer them up for sale...well, I am all over that! And I feel no guilt. And if Universal should ever decide it is time to release some of their more obscure B movies...well, I will be the first in line to buy their product!

Hi DR Mizz Karen....."Breaking a sweat??"  Please --- horses sweat, gentlemen perspire, and ladies "glow."    I always loved that old Victorian descriptive phrase!

;D  I knew you'd come back with that one!

It is hotter than dear Elmo's VCR ...... it is hotter than Mikey B's eyes...... it is hotter than dear Jose's *&#*#&^*@.... it is hotter than dear Jason's po-po....

Well, you get the picture!

I sure do ..... now, "That's Hot!" (Paris Hilton reference, although I'd rather quote someone else, but if the quote fits ...)

Before I go, for Miss Karen, a little ditty I like to call Ode de Toilette.

Oh, never mind, if I do that one, no one will want me to ever come back here.

Yeaaa! It's good to know these HHWer vibes do the trick... Except, now it seems, we need to get specific -- like "Cough Be Gone" vibes to DR JRand!
