Although we're fresh out of CLOSER, so if a new episode doesn't appear via Fed-ex, I may have the day off!

No I can't sleep. I don't know if it's the hide-a-bed here at the lake or if my stomach is bothering me from all the goodies I consumed at the birthday party

So I'm awake, sitting in my dad's big leather recliner. I did discover that in the middle of the night his high speed internet really is high speed

DR Cillaliz can't sleep either?

If you were worried about just treatment for undocumented "visitors", you'd have sleepness nights too.

In the morning....well in a few hours...I will go do some business at the bank here, and then I will head back to Sioux City.

TOD:
Favorite F.S. Movies:
MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE (or MANCHURIAN CANDIED DATES, on Oscar night)
SUDDENLY
GUYS AND DOLLS
A HOLE IN THE HEAD
ON THE TOWN

Anyone who has seen our MUSIC MAN documentary knows that Sinatra was the original choice for the movie role of HAROLD HILL.

Can you imagine? I can't. Robert Preston was born to play that role!

And Frank was hired to play Billy Bigalow in the movie version of "Carousel" and they even recorded the entire score, but when he got to the set and found out that he would have to film every scene twice (for the different widescreen formats), he walked off the set and didn't film any of it!

Hi George!

I'm going to try to sleep some more.  I have a feeling it won't work, but it's worth a try.

Yesterday, we had two performances...on a Sunday!  Anyway, the matinee went fairly well even though the audience only numbered about 19 or so.  The evening performance had about 25 or so (including my parents, my sister, her boyfriend and my visiting aunt from California) and they were the best audience of the run!  It was a great show to end the weekend on.  My aunt really liked it and my dad said that it was "interesting" (but he did like it).  My sister's favorite version was when they did it on an episode of "Moonlighting" with Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis.  Okay. ;)

We only have three more shows left, next Friday and Saturday at 8 pm and then we close on Sundat at 2 pm.  I was feeling quite achey this morning, but I took some ibuprofin and it helped a lot.  Right now, I'm feeling quite well, except that I'm tired and need to sleep. ::) I have two whole days of posts to ketchup on, but I'll have to do that later.

TOD

I don't know if I have a favorite FS film. I never warmed up to him as an actor. He was a wonderful presence on film was basically nonplussed from the films I saw him in,
However I do have a what were thinkking of when the cast him to sing Old Man River in the finale of Till The Clouds Roll By.

As for my favorite song:
I really a big fan of his band singer days (Harry James & Tommy Dorsey) and up to the sixties. After that when his voice "matured" and he became more of a stylist than a singer. It is hard to choose just one song.

Good morning, TCB.  And it looks like I just missed Michael S by a matter of seconds.

Were any decisions made about when the vixmom time-filling dinner will be today?

I'm not really a fan of Mr Sinatra in films.

Of his recordings I really liked his "A Man Alone" album. "Love's
Been good to Me" is wonderful. I also liked "Cycles" from another album for Reprise.

From the pop records for Capitol I like "French Foreign Legion" and "River Stay Away From My Door".

Sinatra Song: I have to put in a vote for "Somethin' Stupid" because it was written by Van Dyke's brother, Carson Parks, who recently passed on.
