Of course, the filling of Cherry Ripe bars is primarily made of coconut.  Go figure.

No, no, no.  In DR elmore's case, it's too many users trying to access the nude.

So, DR JoseSPiano, hope the pit "regulars" are treating you as one of their own by now...  :)

Is the "Paul monologue pigout" a continuing tradition?

As for the regulars... Well, a good chunk of them are on leave for a few weeks since they're playing Gypsy over at City Center (under the baton of ACL's MD, Patrick Vaccariello).  However, the regulars and semi-regulars that are there have welcomed me with open arms, and open boxes of cookies and pastries.  :)

As for the "Paul monologue pigout", well, lately it seems that we starting snacking before the show, then during the show, then during Paul's monologue, then after the show.  And when I'm on Key 2, I'm actually done a good two minutes earlier than everyone else, so, if the mood strikes me - and it usually does - then I go ahead and snack then.

DR JoseSPiano, is that real time from the next room?

Thankfully, no it is not.  Most of the guests seem to be hanging out in the backyard area - thankfully, the rain has held off so far.  And I believe there are more boys/men here than there are in that picture.  Alas, I think all the guys that are here are straight - which is OK.  And most of them have girlfriends - which is OK too.  And some of the guys are cute too - which is OK.  However...

The "vibe" of the party is one of "let's get drunk/trashed/bombed" - which is not the kind of party I like.  Consequently, a couple of the guys seem to be over-compensating in regards to their "stud/macho" factor.  Ehh...  -And if I hear, "Come on!  It's time for another shot of tequila!" one more time, well...

So, I'm in my room, with the A/C running, and I'm also doing some laundry and reading and posting here.

If so, it looks like your roommate didn't have to worry so much about the food preparation...

Well... I think she did "wish" that 50 people were coming.  Or at least 20 people with MAJOR appetites.  The skirt steak with chimichurri sauce is gone - and was quite good - but there's a tray of cooked hamburgers, hot dogs and corn on the cob waiting to be consumed.  And from what I could tell, only ONE of the six bags of potato chips has been opened, and there's even at least two cases worth of beer still in the coolers.  -Of course, some of her friends brought their own libations, and some even bought their own food for the grill - more hamburgers and hotdogs, but these ones are organic.  -Although, I believe the ones that my roomie got from Fresh Direct were organic also.  Ah, well.

-I suspect the fridge will end up fuller than it was when the party started.  And I also suspect that a bunch of food will be going to waste, and/or will still be in the fridge when I get back from Virginia on Friday.

So, far - two bottles of Jim Bean, one bottle of Maker's Mark, and a bottle of Patron have been placed in the recycling bin.  Many more are bound to follow over the next couple of hours.

Thomas)

Baby, back
Dressed in black
Silver buttons all down her back
High hose, tippy toes
She broke the needle and she can sew

Walking the dog
I'm just a walking the dog
If you don't know how to do it
I'll show you how to walk the dog
C'mon now c'mon

I asked her mother for fifteen cents
I see you ever jumped the fence
I jumped so high, touched the skies
Didn't get back 'til a quarter to five

Walking the dog
I'm just a walking the dog
If you don't know how to do it
I'll show you how to walk the dog
C'mon c'mon now

Tell me mary, what's your twelve
How does your garden grow
What with silver bells and cockle shells
And pretty maids all in a row

Walking the dog
I'm just a walking the dog
If you don't know how to do it
I'll show you how to walk the dog
C'mon now c'mon

Baby, back
Dressed in black
Silver buttons all down her back
High hose, tippy toes
She broke the needle and she can sew

Walking the dog
I'm just a walking the dog
If you don't know how to do it
I'll show you how to walk the dog
C'mon now c'mon

Yeah just a walking
Uh just a walking
Uh just a walking
Now, if you don't know how to do it
I'll show you how to walk the dog
C'mon now c'mon
If you don't know how to do it
I'll show you how to walk the dog
C'mon now
If you don't know how to do it
I'll show you how to walk the dog

OK... First load of laundry in the dryer.

And now I'm having a piece of birthday cake - Devil's Food with Chocolate Icing.  Pretty good.  Although, watching the girls - the drunk girls - trying to slice the cake was somewhat "entertaining".

Time to start on dinner.

Roast chicken, picatta style (in other words, with lemon, parsley and capers).

Angel hair, with garlic and pimento.

And zucchini, with Parmesan.
