I had totally forgotten the Judy Collins episode, and she sings four songs (including her famous "Send in the Clowns") that made for a very different MUPPET SHOW experience.

Don Knotts and Nancy Walker didn't work out too well. Zero Mostel was better than I expected with them. Rich Little's impressions ranged from great to awful, but he didn't blend in that well with the Muppets either.

I put in the WORDS & MUSIC DVD and watched the featurette on the making of the picture before actually beginning the movie. Nice to see Fred Chapin participating in the discussion along with Mary Rodgers, Miles Kreuger, Mickey Rooney, Gene Kelly's widow, and Richard Barrios.

I ended the evening with the second episode of MAD MEN on AMC.

(BTW, they are showing the series letterboxed; ironic for a channel which shows all their movies in full screen).

I didn't find the second episode quite as startling or mesmerizing as the first, but I'm hooked on the characters now and will continue watching through the summer.

Interesting station!

I have bookmarked it for future listening. Reminds me of Renradio and HIghlander radio.

Yay!

An actor friend of ours hosts from 7-11AM est Mon-Friday and that's always a nice way to start the morning. Plus, there are very few commercials.

DR MusicGuy - Congrats on the move and the moving!  Did you get the e-mail I sent you with the color and fabric requirements choices for my spare room out there?  ;)

That parcel must be meandering around the Midwest somewhere....but let me guess:  hmmmmm.... deep jewel tones as far as the color, and fabrics to include khaki, leather, and spandex, and something about eye-hooks and a pulley...... :o

That made me laugh.  A lot!

Well, I guess all the vibes worked! We move into the new office on Tuesday.  Thank God this crisis is over.

And thank you, all, for the vibes and for putting up with me.

Congratulations, Larry!  That's great.
And I'm so sorry that our plans got postponed and I won't have the pleasure of your dinner company tomorrow night.  We must reschedule soon.

We must plan some get-togethers when I'm in for casting - I arrive at three-thirty on the 5th, am available that night, then we cast on Monday and Wednesday, and those evenings are probably free, and Tuesday I have all day production meetings, but the evening should be free.

I'm restless - watched all of That's Dancing, and then began Isadora, which I'm enjoying, but which I fear is the shortest of its three versions.  But, I can't sit and watch - it's hot, and then I turn on the air and it's too cold and it's very annoying.  Maybe I'll proof for awhile, or maybe I'll take a spin in the motor car.

bk - Should someone from Michael's office contacted me by now about accompanying the auditions? Or is he and/or Larry using someone else?

Just got back from the advance screening of The Simpsons Movie.  My DVDTalk review should be live by tomorrow morning.  Pretty much an unqualified rave--can't wait for the DVD, because people were laughing so hard I missed half of the jokes.  A wonderful film with a surprising amount of heart.

I just hate it when I can't sleep. It's too hot here.  Everywhere around us got rain tonight, but not Sioux City.  It's supposed to get down into the upper 80s tomorrow, that's the cold front, lol

Is there a plan to coordinate going to any of the NYMF shows?  I was thinking at one time we decided the 30th was Brain night, but is that still the plan?  It doesn't matter to me, but I'm planning to get my tickets as soon as they go on sale Aug 1, so it would be nice to know if there are performances when other Hainsies and Kimlets will be there

Proofed sixty pages - making it right justified introduced certain weirdnesses, all of which I'm hopefully catching.
