Has anyone ever heard the urban legend about the dead bunny?

http://www.snopes.com/horrors/gruesome/haredry.asp

Someone told this story at the party I was at last night and everyone howled so uproriously that my friend and I came into the room to see what was going on. I couldn't believe no one had ever heard this (apart from the friend I had been talking to) since everyone seems to be so tuned in to pop culture. Then I started wondering if it was because I am so much older that everyone else there.

Years ago my DH worked on a film that had this as part of the plot line. Even back then I couldn't beleive that HE hadn't heard this story.

So, anyone who hasn't heard it, now you know how to be the life of the party!

When I did BENT (I played Greta), we had the most beautiful and accomplished actor playing Max. He broke my heart every night.

I loved singing "Streets of Berlin" to accordian accompaniment and mimicking Marlene Dietrich.

That was 1995! I cannot believe it was that long ago!

Have been listening to CDs and trying to find room to store same - I really just need to THIN OUT and get rid of anything I don't think I'll ever listen to again.  Of course, as soon as you do that, you want to listen to it again.

Oh bk, I can feel your pain. RIGHT NOW!

I'm even struggling over getting rid of cassettes because I know the stuff on some of them would never be re-issued in any other form. Argh.

Listening to Quincy Jones' fantastic bossa nova album from the 60s - of course it features the famous piece used in Austin Powers.

I am looking forward to the movie HOT FUZZ tonight. I hope my expectations aren't too high. My ex-partner called me this afternoon to chitchat, and I casually mentioned I was going to watch it tonight, and he said he loved it, too.

So, I don't think I've heard a single negative comment about this movie.

Guess I will finish up my little writing project and then head down to clean the guest bath. Laundry is already washed, dried, and folded (though not put away yet).

After that, I'll finish AND THEN THERE WERE NONE and start on HOT FUZZ.

Hi Everyone. I must admit that I have been a lurker but now I hope to post again.
Can anyone inform me if it is worth to purchase the Canadian TV show SLINGS AND ARROWS? It is now available on DVD.

Hi, it's good to see you. :D Thank you for the vibes.

I suggest renting the first disc to see if you like the show before purchasing it.

Jennifer & td thank you for the vibes.

Someone forgot they shouldn’t have fed my mother-in-law before the ultrasound.  I don’t know when they will get to it now.  At least she sounds in good spirits & is feeling better.

I've read the story.  Maybe I needed to hear it told to think it is funny.

DR ARNOLDMBROCKMAN:

Re: SLINGS AND ARROWS,

Like DR ELMORE, I really enjoy this series. I haven't yet seen series 3 yet, but am looking forward to it. ELMORE is right: some of us love it, some don't. There are many theatre "in" jokes, and, in my view, this series is much more likely to be enjoyed by those with a theatrical background. But I will also say that it took me several episodes to warm up to it. It's a very different sort of show and there's one aspect of it that you must buy into or the show just won't work for you. Once I warmed up to it I found it very funny. When you watch it, keep an open mind, and let it take you where it will.

I did manage to pull about twenty CDs off the shelf that I know I would never, ever listen to again.  I know I could also pull about 200 soundtracks I know I'd never listen to again, but there's the rare factor and the fact that sometimes those things are impossible to replace.

I wonder what Mr. Murphy is doing today.

Enjoying my afternoon off.  I have just been lazing around my apartment today - the Bukowsical group is supposedly going out to dinner tonight (in lieu of an opening night party last night).  I just haven't been able to work up the urge to go out with them since I came back here and relaxed.

Lord...you wouldn't think I was a 21-year old in NYC, would you?

For possible discussion:

Have you ever gone to see a play or a musical (no movies allowed) where you absolutely hated every minute of it; even though everyone around you seemed to think it was a masterpiece?

For those who expected me to list "The Woman in White" - other people in the theatre stayed! (There was however no "Buzz" at the interval - so I doubt any one thought it truly wonderful).

I'm sure you can find something fun to do this evening without necessarily hanging out with a diva or two.  For example, we have our very own divas right here in New York, New York.  FJL is a diva.  Elmore is a diva.  But save Joe Allen for when I arrive, baby.
