Note to self. Tell Qunitent stories. (I would do it know but must dash off to work)
Golly, you must be in a dash.  What the heck is qunitent?   :P

THAT started page 2?  That's not only not dance-worthy, that's not even skip-worthy!  I think I've embarassed myself.

Okay I tried the move to the right message thing. It worked. But it made me too dizzy. So i'm gonna erase it.

Question: Is it cold enough out when you have to sleep with a blanket over your head?

[move=right,scroll,6,transparent,100%]Brrrr![/move]

[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]It SOUNDS cold.[/move]

[move=right,scroll,6,transparent,100%]Here, it's balmy![/move]

[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]Had to open a window last night!!![/move]

To answer the queston, another question:  Is your furnace/heating system performing normally?  Does it maintain a constant temperature inside?

It is possible for it to be so cold that a normal temp setting won't compensate, but that would also mean that the furnace/heating system will be running all the time because the inside temperature can never be maintained adequately.   So, Yep!  That's pretty darned cold outside!

I say ditto to what Matt H said regarding OOP cds, so, you all know where to find me. . .ask Tomovoz about his recent package.
(nudge-nudge-wink-wink)
Also about BUFFALO BILL being 2nd tier Altman.

DR Panni, Altman has gone on record as saying that he didn't like the script for THE COMPANY and that non-liking was his impetus for doing it; he figured that maybe his undecidedness about the project was a sign that he should do it.

Nothing in the dvd player or vcr right now, but, the cd player has:
WICKED and it's live recordings
Cam Clarke
Janis Ian - AFTERTONES, BETWEEN THE LINES
HOLST - THE PLANETS ( I wonder why)
MOZART - REQUIEM  (I wonder why)
BEETHOVEN 7TH - for the 2nd Movement's "Allegretto" (Even Jrand will wonder why, so I shall explain:  It's the music which is used in John Boorman's diffiCULT film, ZARDOZ; and there's a connection to the Holst and the Mozart).

Remember last winter when I could see my breath inside my apartment? Well, it was COLDER than that last night, but I turned on two space heaters and warmed the place right up. Then the radiator came on while I was sleeping, and the combination of the three heaters nearly drove me out of the place. I woke up with the sheets kicked off...

Now, speaking of radiators and extreme temperatures...I don't don't know from houseplants, but I think my radiator is killing both of mine. How can I tell if I'm overwatering of if they're simply shriveling up because it's so dry in my building? The leaves are all curled up and brittle, which makes me think the plants are just thirsty, but the leaves are also turning sort of yellowish-brown, and isn't that a sign of overwatering? I'm so confused... Someone out there with a green thumb...HELP ME!

Here, it's balmy
Had to open a window last night!!!
Could you send some of that balmy over here to Delaware?  I have to paint the bathroom, and it's been too cold to open the window for proper ventilation.

The withering plants: try spraying them with a fine mist several times a day, when the room air is so dry. But, yes, it does sound like overwatering, with the leaves turning yellow. less water at the roots, more water in their breathing space.

In my CD player is a swell hodgepodge of orchestral hits of Handel. Great, uplifting stuff.

Hey, I'll probably be leaving this "rustic" cabin tomorrow; certainly by Sunday - to head down to sunnier climes. I'll be passing through Ashland, and stop in with Jane and Keith. Jane - I'll let you know. Today I'm scrambling to get my show packed, and to have my sound cues transferred from tape to CD for the gig in Bristol.

Bruce-baby: see you in a few days.

Archie: get well soon, sweet boy.

DVD player: Finding Nemo.  I tried watching and listening to the commentary track last night, but discovered that I hadn't seen the film recently enough to remember what they're talking about, so I'm going back to frame one and watching the film again.

I didn't think I'd ever do this sort of thing, but could some of you send some extra vibes you've got laying about in der Brucer's direction, aka Long Beach CA?  He's been delayed an extra day with the packing and moving stuff, and the stress is getting to him.

While I'm on the subject, very strong vibes to Archie.  I know how hard this time is for you, Dan, having had to make hard decisions myself.  For what it's worth, I agree about the surgery decision, having gone both ways on that with Jocko and Geordie, the Scotties.  The best to all three of you.

When we had the ice storm last year, I lost power for a few days, and my house got down to 40 degrees. Thankfully, I had some dear friends who had underground power lines to rescue me, but to be able to see your breath inside your home is freaky. I don't recommend it to anyone.

We've had pretty temperate weather here this winter so far, but that still didn't stop my gas bill from being $190 last month.

So you're saying a humidifier might help? Haha!

To find out, invite an "older" person over for a movie or dinner.

If, during the course of the movie (or dinner) you notice this person start to shrivel, then the answer would be, "Yes, get yourself a humidifier."

(Older folks have less natural skin moisture...and even if they moisturize themselves silly -- and many do -- a parched-earth environment has all that moisturizer drying up and giving up the ghost as the skin beneath it withers).

Sometimes I can't stand this job (more often than not), but I just spoke with Cameron Mackintosh..."Auntie Cam" I call him... I didn't bother to remind him that I was his whale in MOBY DICK, but just to think that I am actually speaking to the people who are the backbone of this business that I love so much makes me feel like I'm actually a part of it somehow. Now if I could just get him to give me a job...or at least an audition! It's time like this that I appreciate what this job is doing for me.

Good morning!

We stayed in this morning due to the cold, but now the temp has finally made it out of the single digits, we're going to head up to Steinway salon - I always love going there - and then we'll see where the afternoon takes us.

By the way, I LOVE Marzipan - even some of those flavored varieties. -I came across and armagnac flavored variety last Christmas... soooo good.

Oh, and I also LOVE "house seats" too.  ;)

Stay warm!  Or stay cool and don't forget the sunscreen depending where you are geographically. :-)

I have the feeling that Jose would LOVE just about anything on this trip!

I can accurately say that the thing runs ALL THE FRIGGING TIME!!! :)

(Although as far as white noise goes, it couldn't be better.  I say it mimics the sound of my mother's heartbeat as heard from the womb :) )

For pity's sake!  We are now into the new season of "Stargate: SG1" on the SciFi Channel with the maturing-beautifully Richard Dean Anderson, the ever-lovely Amanda Tapping and the incredible Michael Shanks.

Am I the ONLY sci-fi fan here??

Yes...I've done that. I have a humidifier...I just can't really afford a new  filter right now. That's not really true, I guess...I just haven't found the time to get one.
