T-C-B took the M-R-I in Tacoma U-S-A...

When docs got there, what did they see?

"A rotator cuff tear" said the young M.D.

Thanks, edi, I like that.  Thanks everyone for the good wishes.

Could someone refresh my memory -- was the Grand Canyon one of the sights Aladdin and Jasmine flew over?

We had no amusement parks in Southern Oregon when I was growing up, so it wasn't until I went to Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland in 1977 that I experienced one. Don't recall the rides.

There is an amusement park in Portland. Washington Park. But it often gets raided by the police so I don't know what kind of rides they might have there.

Shame on you Mike.

TOD:

I was born PDL, using the distinction that MUSIC GUY so aptly made, and made a number of trips to Knott's Berry Farm in my childhood. It was THE place to go in those days. I adored the room that was on a slant, and am still totally intrigued by such wackiness. There was an alligator farm next door. No one's mentioned the alligator farm; does anyone else remember it?

I remember the alligator fram by Knott's Berry Farm.  As I remember, it was very hot when we were there and most of the alligators just layed there.  I do remember the cobras there, as well.

I loved Pacific Ocean Park, but I was upset that I never got to ride in the skyride which were glass balls and went over the water..

Well, it's time for me to leave...and walk home. :) Since I walked to work, I must walk home.  Until later. :)

This afternoon Sherlock met a very cute Bichon puppy who loves big dogs.  The puppy also loves climbing on their backs.  I took a few photos on my cell phone.  Does anyone, George maybe, know how to transfer photos from a cell phone to a computer.  I cannot figure out how to do this.

So.... There was this nice young gentleman who came in to the auditions today.  He put his music on the piano, and proceeded to tell me how his song went, and what kind of intro he wanted.  Well...  I knew the song.  And I had just played it for him last Friday at the Mary Poppins call.  As well as the Evita call the last Monday.  And the week before that too...

"Oh, I've played this for you before."
-Really?
"Yes."
-Really?
(Really.)

Note to actors: Be sure to actually look at your accompanist when you walk in the room, and not just where the piano is.

So, seeing as how it is now officially a Broadway show tune, could I perform "Xanadu" at Musical Mondays?

...I mean, I'd only do it if I had Jason and Jose as my back-up dancers...

This coming from the guy who just giggled the whole time that Jason and I were in the audition room...

...And then there was this other young woman who came in with "The Beauty Is" from The Light in the Piazza.

-I'm sorry but I cut some of the piano notes off when I made the copy.
"Well, you'll be sure to correct that for the next pianist."
-Yes, I will.
"Oh, it's OK.  I know the song..."

In any case... I think I may have had a touch of 'tude in my voice when I asked her to correct her music.  However...

-So, if you're giving me incomplete music, are you expecting me to play it incompletely?
-And for anyone considering bringing in "The Beauty Is" to an audition, please try to get the actual pit piano/rehearsal part.  The vocal selections arrangement is horrible!  With the melody doubled in the accompaniment, it's actually harder to play than the real accompaniment especially in the opening "spiky" section.

Umm.. You don't perform at Musical Mondays.  You can sing and dance along with the videos, but you don't perform.  Guess we'll have to take you there next week to show you what it's all about.

I really don't recall giggling while you - or anyone else - was in the room.  Maybe when you came in the room, and left the room, but not while you were actually auditioning.  Unless I happened to find your reading actually funny.   :P

So singing and dancing along with videos doesn't count as performing?

Will you and Jason still be my back-up dancers?

Okay, okay, maybe not the WHOLE time.  But yes, when we came in and when we left.   ::)  Stickler.

Well, I do remember giggling when you left the room... Since I had to place the bag of music that I brought in for you under the piano.  ;)

Although, I could have also been giggling at you.
