I had a friend once called Harvey Karp.

Did he used to teach Drama 1 at The High School of Performing Arts?

And now, a scene from my bizarre life on the Broad Way:

JASON, a svelte, lithe, handsome devil of a merchandise manager, stands outside the Golden Theatre, wearing his show shirt, waiting for the Saturday evening performance of AVENUE Q to come to an end. Broadway legend MARIAN SELDES enters.

SELDES
What are you doing here?

JASON
I'm selling merchandise for this show! What are you doing here??

SELDES
(Dreamily, and putting a hand on JASON'S left shoulder)
Oh! Hasn't this show let out already? I really wouldn't know...I've never seen it. What time does this show let out?

JASON
(Confused and a little afraid)
10:10. The show lets out at 10:10.

SELDES
I've just come from the closing performance of THE YEAR OF MAGICAL THINKING. Can you imagine? I saw the opening and the closing nights... It was wonderful. Did you see it?

JASON
(Cheerily, as to avoid demonstrating fear)
No, I'm afraid I couldn't - I'm always here at this show! I didn't get to see your show, either, I'm afraid...

SELDES
(Holding JASON'S face in her hands)
I'll do it for you now.

SHE walks away.

End Scene.

Back from THE FANTASTICKS! I'm sorry, BK, I didn't see your post about Joe Allen's until I got back.  Mr Spangler is quite good as Matt, and I played Yenta and introduced him to Charlotte after the show.  Mr Tom Jones is wonderful as Henry, and the replacement for the late Leo Burmester is quite wonderful.  The show is in really good shape at the moment.

If you have more than one Thai gefilte fish, does it mean that you're Thai-ing one on?

A blurry photograph of the dreamy view, which, when seen in person, is indeed dreamy.

By the by, that scene (brought to you in part by Dawn) really happened tonight. Surreal.

Oh, if it had only been Ms. Angela Lansbury, I think I would have truly peed my pants.

I love Marian Seldes!  She's such a wonderful lady, gracious and grand and wacko at the same time!  Truly an amazing character. Did I tell you about her matinee days during the run of DEATHTRAP?

I'll be disappointed if he doesn't.

It seems like ages since I've seen DR Cason, and yet it has only been a few days.

On another note, that Tom guy who plays Superman on SMALLVILLE is in a swimming pool right now, wearing only red swim trunks.

Did it involve running to the bar after her death scene?

I think you might've mentioned it, but I'd be happy to hear it again!

She's a hoot of a woman. I saw her riding the N train the other day, all clad in purple (her signature color) and looking thoroughly confused as to what stop she needed. She figured it out, though, and made it to her matinee on time.
