TOTD:
We watch the News at 7.00 pm each evening, a movie review show on Sundays and little else at all.

We gave up on pay TV which really only provided a larger choice of shows to avoid.

The Last TV shows I watched regularly were "Six Feet Under" and "Carnivale".  "Deadwood" we watched on DVD as we did with "Arrested Development".

Last UK shows which had us involved were "Spooks" (M.I.5) until the last series which lost us and the delightful "Hustle".

DS Betsy and I watched 300 today.  I suspect this is the sort of movie BK would hate (maybe he does already, LOL), but we decided we'd give in to style over substance and ended up enjoying it quite a bit, despite the gore and step-printing  ;D.  What has totally blown my mind though, in checking through the cast at IMDb, is the guy playing Xerxes is the infamous Paulo from Lost.

Lost Luggage Vibes Needed please!   :'(

My parents returned from Germany today... their luggage made it fine to Philadelphia. Between Philadelphia and Newport News airport their luggage disappeared. Their clothes, but no souvenirs, so that's not too bad, but they were bringing me a German audio book of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and a German translation of the book itself, and a T-shirt saying "My mom went to Venice and all I got was this lousy T-shirt" and I was really looking forward to that stuff... :'(

OH!  Before I forget (again)...

There's a wonderful and "real" article in the Sunday Times about working actors and what they go through to make a living from day to day.  The link below is the introduction to the series of interviews/slice-of-life takes.  Be sure to click on the related articles on the left.

It's like I'm losing my mind department:

Could Elmore, Jose, Noel, BK or some other musically literate person please tell me what this piece is from?  It's driving me crazy:

I'm dying to guess, but I can't play it on piano---it would wake up my DH and I can't get it just by humming...

DR Singdaw, you are either up VERY late or VERY early!

Yes, you were correct, that was my DH recording Tony Shalboub at the Monk writers' office in NJ.
