As for the Friday Media Check...

CD Player:  More Eldar - His first self-titled album.  WOW!!!

I checked this out from the library and had planned to take it back to work last week, but I misplaced it. :-\ But I found it last night and will listen to it today!  I have it right under my wallet and checkbook, so I CAN'T forget/misplace/lose it, again. ;)

Actually, our library doesn't charge late fees, at all!  You only have to pay if you actually lose the book, and then if you pay for a book but find it within six months, you can get a refund (minus a small "service fee")!

At the library where I work, that perk was negotiated away by our union years ago for something like having Columbus Day off.

Now, I must take a shower, put on some clothes, then go to work.

Until later!

At the library where I work, that perk was negotiated away by our union years ago for something like having Columbus Day off.

Many, many years ago, State workers negotiated that they and us (we joined the negotiations because we're on the State retirement system) would work Columbus Day so that we don't have to work the day after Thanksgiving (Friday), so we get a four-day Thanksgiving Day weekend.

Bumbershoot looks interesting this year!

They certainly didn't have anything that cool when I lived in Seattle back @ 1960.

And the word of the day is: RECUSANT!
Is DR Ben's other half a non-conformant?  DR Ben would be better able to say than I, as I have not yet met Ant (who was unable to attend the dinner that capped DR Jose's first Eating Tour of NYC).

He came from Russia.  ;)

And he's at the Blue Note here in NYC this week.  He's on the bill with someone else for the first part of his engagement, but this Sunday night, his last night in town, he'll be the only on the bill.  -And I'm hoping to catch his closing set.

We killed the dog (and replaced it - the owner will never know).
I'd have opted for freeze-drying.

Oy--another day where I've barely been able to sit at my desk and take a break.  This is one week that I'll be glad when it's over (which will happen at 2:00 'cause that's when I'm planning on hightailing it out of here!)

Either one.  However, the first CD is more traditional, acoustic.  However, his second CD, "Live at The Blue Note" is great too - the closing track of "Take the A Train" is something awesome.  His website has sound and video clips that should help you make your decision.  *Oh, his first CD is mid-level priced, so... :)

I cannot relate to the title of today's notes because I prefer to enjoy my salad undressed.
And what do you wear during the rest of your meal?
