And I guess I should head on down to the bus station now just to be safe.

Sunday morning greetings! It's a beautifully sunny autumn day here in SW Ohio.
DH Richard arrived home from Wisconsin just as Michigan kicked off to Illinois last night. He was tired from the drive, but full of stories about his week at Nashotah House.
Today's my one-day weekend, so I'm going to putter a bit and enjoy the sunshine.
Wonder how DR Elmore is feeling today?

No pointy hats? No ham and cheese chunks?
Fine, I shall go into the garden and eat worms...

Oh, Don't do that 3D!
Happy Happy Birthday to You!!!
At some point when BK awakens he will see his mistake and make amends, I am sure.

Worms go very well with ham chunks and cheese chunks when it is one's NATAL DAY!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, 3DDiffusion!

I'm STILL having stomach problems, but I think this little bout has to do with the food served at the event.

Shocking and distressing news from LACC.....
Things don't just "happen".....planning, rehearsal, cooperation....that's what makes an "effortless" event.
Did anyone in charge comment afterwards that they had made an error....or was it just let go as if nothing had happened?
Shocking.
As for people who commit but won't make a commitment...it seems (even out here in the hinterlands) that everyone wants to build up his resume and say he did this or that or was in this or that....and as long as he can get his name in program or news story....it doesn't matter what the end result is onstage. They are doing it - not for the benefit - but for themselves.

Nobody apologized, except to Mrs. Goldsmith, and I hope that the blame wasn't put on me, as I had nothing to do with it. I have no idea what was said to her, but that certainly would have been an easy out. The evening was a success in their minds - they made a lot of money.

Bruce, regarding gmail stacking- I can miss emails and I know how it works. My suggestion to, try and vary the subject titles so your emails don’t stack.
I thought Xeroxed list of items was the norm for large silent auctions. Such a shame the evening was so poorly done, and insulting.

Good morning, all! As one of the characters in DARK OF THE MOON says, I"m feelin' a mite puny today. Around 5 pm last night, something came on fast and violent and I cancelled my evening plans and a morning work session with Ron Raines and went to bed. I got up this morning around 9 and sent emails cancelling the rest of today's appointments, and I'm staying in. I do feel much better than last night, but I'm taking it easy today.
BK, sorry the benefit didn't go well. The next will be better.

DR ELMORE is correct....with a well run benefit following so closely on the heels of one that was a bore....well.....they may think the audience doesn't know....but the audience does.
And a list of silent auction items is something I ALWAYS appreciate it. Makes me seek out the things I want to bid on.

Only the Goldsmith tribute was poorly done and insulting. The rest of the evening, while long, was what these sorts of events usually are.
