Well, you've read the notes, the notes bubbled and also squeaked, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home and if those damn cows don't come home they'll feel the back of my boot up their collective bums.

I was in hospital at the time of the JFK assassination.

I'm quite happy to go with a conspiracy - but which one?

It was certainly not beyond a possibilty.

My favourite theory (though fictional) is in the book "TheTears Of Autumn" Charles McCarry 1975

Good morning, all! This is my first day to accomplish what I wanted to accomplish two days ago: laundry and a trek to the NYPL Theatre Collection.

Last night I read Fitz-Jams O'Brien's THE WONDERSMITH, which is the other source beyond the pantomime THE BABES IN THE WOOD for Glen MacDonough's BABES IN TOYLAND libretto.  I was hoping the story would be really terrifying, since O'Brien's considered the link between Poe and late 19th-Century supernatural fiction, but it wasn't.  Still, it gave MacDonough the wicked Toymaker, the bottle of evil souls and the killer toys, none of which made it to any film version of BABES IN TOYLAND.

TOD:  The only conspiracy theory I've read about is the Clay Shaw trial in AMERICAN GOTHIC by James Kirkwood of PS YOUR CAT IS DEAD and A CHORUS LINE fame. Oliver Stone's noble Jim Garrison was much more of a  lying homophobic pig who was later accused of molesting a teenage boy than Kevin Costner plays him.

I was ten years old and out sick from school that day. I was helping my mother fold laundry as we were watching The Price is Right. My sisters came home from school soon after that and we spent the weekend alternately playing and watching television, even though most of it was about the assassination. We did not see the shooting of Oswald (live) because we were at church, although my father did see it since he did not go to church with us.

It is Thursday, and I have to work.  But I have my car back.  So I guess that evens everything out.

I just got a TDF ticket for the new Tom Stoppard play, Rock and Roll. My theatre going is picking up now that work is winding down (although there is still some concern about when/whether we will finish by tomorrow afternoon or if we need to come in on Saturday)

Yesterday I got "Shirley MacLaine-Live at the Palace" from 1976. Interesting. There is a LONG segment from Some Came Running where she re-enacts a scene with Frank Sinatra. It' a little strange for my taste. Perhaps if I was sitting in the audience of the Palace Theatre in 1976 it would have played better. Oh, well.

I was in the 8th grade on November 22, 1963.  When we returned to classes after lunch, the teachers were acting strange (well stranger than usual).

Mr Marksbury, the history teacher, told us to read a chapter and kept going in and out of the room.  My next class, our English teacher, a woman in her early twenties (this was her first teaching assignment) - didn't come into class until almost 10 minutes after the bell rang, and she was crying....she also told us to read....and left soon afterwards.

Last class of the day was Science with Mr Alexander.  We went in, sat down, and he didn't say a word.  Finally a girl in class named Karla Doty raised her hand and said:  "The radio said they shot President, is that true?"

We were all shocked.  Karla had a transistor radio and had turned it on during English class.  Mr Alexander just said: "We'll have an announcement in a minute."

The intercom crackled on, and our principal Mr Boyd said:  "President Kennedy was shot in Dallas, Texas, today.  He died an hour later.  Students are dismissed for the day."

I think there was more than one rifle.  But I don't think we'll ever know for sure.  Theorists always skew the facts to fit their own theory.

I don't know.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I'm back from the gym, and.... I felt a little rushed this morning.  Well, I was rushing myself to make sure I made it back here in time to get cleaned up to head downtown for my set of auditions today.  However, I did take my time whilst going through my routine, I just didn't like having to check the clock after each set.  OK, OK... I'm babbling...

bk - Do you want the score or vocal selections version of "Lost In the Wilderness"?  -And can't you just give Mr. Schwartz's assistant, Michael Cole, a call for the music?

As for the Topic of the Day...

I was born in 1968, so...

However, I believe we were first taught about the assassination in 5th Grade history class.  And then after Hinckley's attempted assassination of Ronald Reagan in 1981, my history teacher decided to take a detour from the regularly scheduled curriculum and we did a little bit more in-depth study of presidential assassinations.  -And I was just in 8th grade at the time.

Good morning!  Callie is purring, ate some food this morning and I think I heard her scratching in the litter box.  Hoo and Ray!

Last night Boo ate the prescription food that Callie didn't prefer - Callie ate all of the rest.  Neither of them got sick on it, so I mixed a little of the prescription food in with regular food for Boo.  She seemed to like it

TOD - I was 2 years old.  There has been an ongoing argument in my family between my parents which one was home with me when it happened.  Mom is sure it was her and she was watching As The World Turns. Dad is sure it was him.  Either way, I must have been at home.

Now I must get to work.
