Also, DotM, it's interesting that that was the post that brought you out and finally got you to post.

It is a puzzlement.  8)

There are some wonderful things in THE WILD PARTY - David Dukes' performance being one of them.

I've just spent an hour and a half listening to Oliver Stone's commentary track on JFK, which I had never listened to before, but thanks to today's topic, I felt inclined towards.

DR FJL and The Pope were walking down the street.  Coming toward them were Brad Pitt and Mary Lopinto.

FJL said to the Pope:  Isn't that Brad Pitt?

And The Pope Said:  I don't know, but I think that's Mary Lopinto with him.

 ;D  Very good, JRand.

As for conspiracy theories in regards to JFK's assassination...

When I was in high school, Sister Maureen Bernard (or was it Sr. Maureen Christopher - ??), was my government teacher junior year.  She was a self-avowed JFK-aholic, and even more "rabid" JFK-Assassination-Theorist/Researcher.  She shared a bunch of information and writings that she had come across over the years.  She even had a copy one of the original "reports" that was released on the newsstands, as well, as the subsequent revised report that was released after the original ones were recalled.  It was fascinating - and a bit scary - to see what was edited and/or blacked out from the original copy.  She even followed the trail of the missing brain fragments, as well as the reports of someone in a wheelchair on Aristotle Onassis' boat in the middle of the Mediterranean.  And the eventually sighting of a burial at sea.  ???

Interesting, Jose.  I believe your Sister Margaritta got her Warren Commission mixed up with her National Enquirer (or maybe it was Weekly World News).  One of those tabloid magazines was credited with creating the JFK on Ari's boat story.  Actually he was supposed to stay most of the time on a private island owned by Onassis.  I even remember the photo / drawing of the figure sitting on the dock in a wheelchair all alone.  Of course, the photo was far too grainy to see any details of the figure.

TOD: I was in 3rd grade in Seattle, and my teacher came into the room and looked like she had been crying. She sent us all home.

Then I remember that there was nothing on TV for days except the coverage of the assasination and funeral. (My parents had voted for Nixon, but I wanted JFK to win because I thought he was handsome. Even in kindergarten, I would have voted Democrat!)

I also remember a book called "The Torch Is Passed", or something like that. I looked at the pictures in that book for hours. After MLK and Bobby Kennedy were shot, I just figured that's the way things were in the world. My parents never tried to explain any of it to us.

Well, DR Ron Pulliam may not be heading to bed at 8:30pm tonight, but I just might.  Well, 8:30pm RonPulliam time at least.  Possibly even sooner.  And since I do want to hit the gym before another day of Applause auditions, well... Sleep would be a good thing.  So...  A-Wussburgering I shall go.

Goodnight.

And a more traditional composition:

The young man kneeling to my left is our dear friend, John, who is James Ivory's editor.

Greg and I met 20-some years ago helping John on one of his films. His father performed our wedding ceremony. He is like a little brother to us.

Well, I must be going.  I promised my sister that I'd put together the shelves for her kitchen island cabinet.  So, that's what I need to do.  After that will be back home to the cat with the collar who, hopefully, is adjusting to it. :-\

Thanks for the avatar George, but I think I'll stick with my 20 year old one!

When we had our little stray cat fixed she kept licking her stitches and so we had to make her wear the collar. She hated it!

We kept her sequestered in the kitchen away from our other cats. One night she stepped on the blender buttons and turned it on. That plus the collar was too much and it scared her half to death and woke us up. She was hanging from a picture frame in the kitchen. It took us all a while to calm down!

Sadly, Mr. Dukes passed away while filming ROSE RED here in Pierce County.  The treatment received by his widow, Carol Dukes, by the medical examiner's office in our county is a continuing embarrassment to the people who live here.  This is the same medical examiner's office (different Medical Examiner) that was accused of selling morgue photos of our late Governor Dixie Lee Ray.

It has rained on and off all day long. It's the first really soaking rain we've had since spring and very much needed. Of course, we're so far behind the needed rainfall that we'd need a week of this and still probably not be caught up.

I'm just happy it's stayed cool all day. Perfect sleeping weather.

I began my evening by watching last night's LIFE episode. OK story - Russian bride/con game scenario. Not bad at all.

Sad to say, its ratings continue to sag a little each week.

Next came CSI: NY which had an infuriating set-up for what looks like a season-long chase for a computer whiz/hit man (woman).

Then I began the next TV box set - CSI: MIAMI, Season 5. It begins with that shameful episode that established Horatio and Delko as vigilantes traveling to Rio to avenge the death of H's wife and Delko's sister.

It had a running commentary with it which I also listened to, but the three speakers basically talked about the beauty of Brazil. They spent three months organizing and arranging everything there and actually filmed only four days!

UGLY BETTY

had some wonderful gags, a couple of sweet love stories (nice to see them pairing Marc up with someone - his polar opposite). Glad to see the twist with Justin.

I liked GREY'S ANATOMY very much tonight, too. I suppose this is the last episode we'll see with Edward Herrman as an intern (do they have a psych teaching program at Seattle Grace?).
