As for the TOD:

DVDs (galore):

X FILES SEASON SIX - Episode 3 - TRIANGLE - an episode of time-traveling, Mulder finds himself on the luxury liner QUEEN ANNE in 1939, just as the Germans have invaded Poland.  The ship's captain is Y. Harburg, the lounge singer is Elmira Gulch. . .well, you get the picture.

JFK - listening to Oliver Stone's commentary.

ALEXANDER THE FINAL CUT - enjoying the visuals and the score more than the film itself, though.  This cut is not without merits, however.

a couple of dvd-r's:
RATATOUILLE - now I have mum hooked on Remy's tale of haute rat cuisine.
HAIRSPRAY - I was going to flip through the musical numbers but ended up watching the whole thing. . .AGAIN!
PUSHING DAISIES - the first three episodes, commercial free.
VIVA LAUGHLIN - the whole series of two episodes - and yes, it's as bad as it's been said to be. . .

...And from the looks of the call sheet, it looks like we're gonna be here for a couple of hours with no break.  It just turned out that more people were available and interested for the project that originally thought, and that's always a plus.  And it's a good list of people coming in today, so that's always nice.

And speaking of Mr. Schwartz, I'm supposed to see The Baker's Wife this weekend at the York.  I worked on the version of this show prior to this "final" revision, so it will be interesting to see what has changed and what has not.  And even though the solo numbers are quite wonderful, I'm particularly looking forward to the ensemble numbers.

...And when I checked the new video screen here which tells you what's going on in which room, I saw a listing for "Encores At Plus".  At Plus?!?!  -Is that some new performing arts center?  Well...

Once I got to the room, it turns out the casting director had asked to have "Applause" added to the listing.  Not "At Plus".  ;)

Good morning!

More rain and more cool, both of which we need and which I want, so I'm a pretty happy camper. Might not be so happy if it's pouring down when I go to the grocery store later, but I'll deal with that when the time comes.

I managed to watch two more episodes on the CSI: MIAMI box set this morning. One had to do with a detective Calleigh is seeing working undercover in an outlaw biker gang. Good episode.

The other involved the theft of some designer jewelry which led to a counterfeit ring. This episode had a commentary which I listened to. Lots of back slapping and shout-outs to production personnel, but not enough talk about the filming of the episode.

DR George,

My DVD burner has a fast copy mode, but sad to say, it doesn't work if the show is over 2 hours. More than 2 hours, it has to copy in real time. I have LEGALLY BLONDE on the hard drive of my DVD burner, but I haven't had time to cut away all the commercials and backstage stuff I had no interest in at all to see how long the show would actually be without it. I have a feeling it will still be over 2 hours long.

Looking forward to tonight's episodes of GHOST WHISPERER, MOONLIGHT (my favorite new show this season), and WOMEN'S MURDER CLUB.

Heading down now to get cleaned up for my usual Friday outing. I also have to drop by the drug store, so it will be a little longer outing than usual.

Lovely WICKED report from MR BK.  I haven't seen the show although I have the CD and have read the book.

Maybe I will....but I have the same audience reservations written about in the notes....I just don't like theatre as concert or theatre as audience participation....  Yes, I am old.

DR FRANCOIS - loved the Disney Night Lights from Tokyo!!!

Thanks for the David Dukes links, DR td - and DR TCB - I didn't know any of the history of the case, but I remember being shocked at his early demise.
