After the banquet we went to Minerva's where a couple friends of mine were playing in a guitar duo.  We had a couple celebratory drinks, a appetizer and some good conversation with good music in the background.  It was a nice end to the weekend.

What kind of place is MINERVA'S ??

Watching EVIL UNDER THE SUN.....what a wonderful group of actors and actresses....sophisticated....lovely Cole Porter music....great clothes....stunning locations....literate script.

And was there ever a more handsome man than Nicholas Clay....in that black bathing costume.

One Of My Favorite Movies

It's rather like an HHW gathering on Majorca, isn't it?  Minus the murder, of course....in all likelihood.....  8)

Well, the only girlfriends I've heard from are 2 who can't make it to the movie this afternoon.  So, I guess I'll just show up at the theatre at 3pm and see if anyone else does.

Bye for now!

Hmmmm...that would make for a fun novel...an HHW get together...and a murder...a real who done it, HHW style! BK, I think you should get to work on it, and we can all try to figure out which character represents each of us.

Congratulations on that wonderful honor, DR JoseSPiano.  I'm sure it will be an interesting and emotional journey.  And thanks for the DR Jason update.

Hello, everyone!

Matt is here and it is more of the same. He put my storm windows up and we are both getting rid of tons of stuff that I kept during all the painting, repairs, and other projects.

It is a lovely, brisk fall day. Why is it that on our nicest days I'm always busy with indoor stuff that just must be done???

I've mentioned it only in passing, but as a favor to our out-of-town hainsies/kimlets who can't come to our fundraiser, I will post a complete list of our silent auction items - therefore, should anyone be interested in bidding you can send your top bids to me and I'll make sure they're entered.  As mentioned before, the items that could be of interest are the signed musical quotes, which include a full-size music sheet in Sondheim's hand of Not A Day Goes By from Merrily We Roll Along - not only the melody but the accompaniment as well, three signed quotes from John Kander (All That Jazz, New York, New York, and Cabaret), Popular from Wicked by Schwartz, Ragtime by Flaherty and Ahrens, and a printed sheet of A Place Called Home, signed by Menken and Ahrens.  We're still hoping to have some actual signed quote from Menken, and we'll definitely have one from Rupert Holmes.

Also, I've put into the auction the original painting used for the cover of Lost In Boston IV, painting by Leon Joosen, who did all four covers.  It's beautifully framed and matted and is, of course, a one of a kind item.

It's almost one o'clock my time.  I think I'll revise the show order a few more times, just because I can.  Also, we've added Kim Huber to the show - she'll be singing Meadowlark, and it looks like Mr. Schwartz will be playing for her.

Hey, Al Jolson may have been a dynamite entertainer....but that is one homely man.

Are we still on page three
How can that be
It's unseemly and not very nice
Where on Earth is page four
Only three is a bore
Think I'll go out and step on some mice.

Perhaps Full Metal Jacket - haven't seen it since the day it came out.  Loved the first half, hated the second.  We'll see how I feel now.
