Well, you've read the notes, the notes were busy, and now it is time for you to post until the busy little cows come home.

The overture to Lil' Abner is playing on the show tunes digital music channel.  Just had to share. :D

SOUTHERN VOICE is enjoying suggesting some costumes:

OCTOPUS

Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho)

Two hands just isn’t enough for someone who disassociates from reality as much as Sen. Larry Craig. He needs one testicl— er, tentacle — to do his bathroom stall toe-tapping, another to cast his anti-gay votes in Congress, another to hold back his angry Republican colleagues, and one more to blind fold his delusional wife. Depending on how busy the bathroom is, we’re sure Craig could find uses for the remaining four limbs.

ASSOCIATED PRESS

Quote
VACANT MANHATTAN BUILDING LINKED TO 1901 MURDER CASE COLLAPSES

NEW YORK  —  A vacant Manhattan building that played a part in an infamous Gilded Age murder case partially collapsed Saturday night, less than two weeks after city officials expressed concerns about the building's stability.

The building became a salacious footnote in a sensational 1907 trial involving a teenage showgirl, a jealous husband, and renowned architect Stanford White. He designed the original Madison Square Garden, the famous arch at Washington Square Park and several other city landmarks.

White rented part of 22 W. 24th St. and used it for trysts in 1901 with 16-year-old showgirl Evelyn Nesbit. She subsequently married, and her vengeful husband, Harry Thaw, shot and killed White on Madison Square Garden's rooftop garden in 1906. The trial revealed that White's 24th Street hideaway was outfitted with a red velvet swing, among other racy details. Thaw was eventually acquitted on the grounds of insanity.
...

AMAZING! How can a New Yorker write this story without a mention of RAGTIME? Or mentioning:

Good morning, all!  I will again be E&T most of the day.  I have a morning in Toyland, then a movie and dinner with my friend Matthew. We want to see GONE BABY GONE, the film we tried to catch last weekend, and I hope none of the screening times are sold out when we get there.  We have several theatre options for the film so that'as good.

Today at Toyland, I've got to begin the outline for the prefatory maerial for the LADY OF THE SLIPPER score.  I've spent a lot of the last week revising the BABES IN TOYLAND critical notes, and that continues as well. I see a lot of the NYPL microfilm room in my near future!

Another uncomfortable dream last night about the Macbeths.  My dad was in the dream as well.  I am not looking forward to this Ohio trip in two weeks but I am looking forward to seeing my new niece-by-marriage, other family members, and my Ohio friends.

Hey.  Things are good. It looks a bit windy.

I just checked the weather and thankfully it doesn't look like it will rain on wednesday (although that could change). I was worried because it has been miserable and rainy the past few days!

I've been home (Central California) two weeks now and miss my family terribly.  Never did get a smoked meat sandwich this time around.

The weather was perfect during my visit.  I actually flew into Burlington, Vermont and admired the fall foilage.

So the White-Nesbit love nest has collapsed.....what happened to the building sounds like what is happening to Joan Collins.

Dream away, DR ELMORE.  These are dreams of anticipation that help prepare you for the trip and actually assuage the anxiety you feel.  That your father appears in the dream means that he is on your side and will give you the confidence to do what must be done.

Very exciting news about your music gig, DR JOSE....a sad occasion filled with love it will be, I am sure.

And with all these visits to the gym, be careful that you don't waste away to nothing.

Sunday morning greetings!  DH Richard will be in Cincinnati on church matters all day today and I'm trying to get some book group girlfriends together to see The Jane Austen Book Club this afternoon.

Good morning!

Chilly morning, but it promises to warm up to 70 today which would be perfect. Beautiful, cloudless blue sky.

And The Song of The Day IS :  I HAVE DREAMED

This is my favorite song in the score of THE KING AND I. Thank you so much for picking it.

I had time enough this morning to watch one more episode of CSI: MIAMI. This was the infamous episode with triplets trying to pull off a murder/scam. Really fabulous photography melding actress Leslie Bibb into totally believable triplets.

This leaves me with six episodes left in the set plus two more bonus featurettes. Should be able to be done with it by the end of the day. I would truly love to also be able to watch one of the movies on the DVR - either BLOOD DIAMOND (which I'm leaning toward) or BORAT (which is shorter and may be all I have time for).

Isn't it unbelievale that the end of October is in sight? This has to have been the fastest passing month this year, at least for me.

I've been typing the word "November" so many times for the November newsletter for several days now, so I think it's already November.

I always get confused at the end of the month.
