I have BONES and HOUSE and SVU and BOSTON LEGAL for tonight.

Tonight is also the season premiere of NIP/TUCK which I'll watch in the hopes that this is a better season for the show.

As soon as the barber session was over, I rushed home.  I'm definitely sick and perhaps this is the reason that I'm feeling puny.  I have to call my doctor and cancel tomorrow's physical and do whatever else needs to be acconplished.  I want to be healthy to step out Thursday night with DR Jose and Baayork!

Ray Bradbury - Dandelion Wine, especially "Lime Vanilla Ice Cream" and "The Strangler" , although not really speculative.

Mr Harlan Ellison is my favorite speculative writer.

DR FJL - if you see Milla in the hospital or speak with her, will you please tell her that I'm thinking of her and wishing her a speedy recovery?  She doesn't know me, but she did give me a big hug on the steps of St. Clement's!

Did I miss something? Is something the mater with Milla and I missed it?

DR JRand57, I hope you're not feeling as puny as I am! I hate hate hate being sick.

I just changed by physical exam to Nov 21, and there was a message on my phone from my sister-in-law and chef par excellence JoAnn telling me she loved my email to M.  Ther has, of course, been no response from the Macbeths, but I didn't expect one.

Larry - Milla mentioned in the Birthday listings on All That Chat that she had to go to the hospital for a few days, but I haven't been able to get any info.

Really scary column in this morning's Oregonian.  Some kid in Madras (not the Indian one) was arrested for having sex with his underage girlfriend.  The grand jury returned a "not to be indicted " finding but the jury foreman incorrectly signed the document (you're only supposed to sign if the jury indicts).  Well, the prosecutor, D.A., judge and jail officials all "neglected" to see that the jury actually hadn't indicted and put the kid in jail.  It was only because one of the jurors happened to read a little article in the Madras paper and called the D.A. that the kid was released--temporarily.  The prosecutors are trying to blame the defense attorney and the kid himself for not noticing and they are now prosecuting him all over again, since because of the error, the first case is legally "nullified," so, according to them, there's no double jeopardy.

OK, time to take off this angel costume and dress like a professional for lunch with local philanthropists.

Bye for now!

TCM has a great line-up of movies about songwriters/composers today. This morning they had films about Francis Scott Key, Rodgers and Hart, and coming up, NIGHT AND DAY, RHAPSODY IN BLUE, etc...

I had never seen WORDS AND MUSIC before, but I've always loved SLAUGHTER ON 10TH AVENUE, so it was fun to see it danced with Gene Kelly and Vera Ellen.

Larry, I hope you feel better soon!

There is definitely something going around---Greg's brother, sister and her husband were all very sick at our get-together. I came home and immediately took some Immunity and Airborne. It seems to have done the trick.

Now I have to go and get a new phone. I can't charge mine anymore. Greg was able to get it charging but he has been out of town. I am torn between waiting for him to get home tonight to get it charged up again before it is replaced, so my phone numbers will transfer over, or going today and hope that the techie can make it work and not screw it up worse!

I really should have replaced it weeks ago when I was still able to change it. Dang!

I hope DR GINNY has pictures taken.

DR EDISAURUS - Slaughter is probably my LEAST favorite part of WORDS AND MUSIC.....  And I keep wondering why the Blackburn Twins don't stand up straight when they dance!!!

Thursday would be better - Mercury retrograde is over on November 1.  Technology problems until then.  :D

Oh re: the film ENCHANTED.

The name just didn't ring a bell. But i think i saw a preview for this when i saw the HAIRSPRAY movie. If so it's part cartoon. And it looks really sweet (romantic comedy but for the younger set).
