Also, you could see every dentist's chair/patient through the reception area....looking like a large beauty salon where you can see each cutter/client in a Busby-Berkeley-like display.

I'm getting a mental picture!    :D

Has anyone been seeing the promos for the upcoming Dreamworks Animation film "The Bee"?

Jerry Seinfeld is everywhere in them.  And what I'm wondering is whether anyone else is confused about there not being anything remotely "funny" about them.  Jerry mugs.  Jerry talks.  Jerry does this, that and the other.  Folks talk about Jerry -- he's so funny, he has assembled a great cast, he's a genius.  And yet, nothing in evidence seems to be offered that makes this movie appealing to me in the least bit.

Funny man?  Jerry Seinfeld?  He's never made me laugh at all.  Moreso (or less) now than ever.

I'm not sure what to think about "The Bee" either.  I've liked Jerry Seinfeld, but never loved him.  However, the previews they've been showing in the theatres have been a lot better than the commercial spots running on TV right now.  The TV spots obviously seem slanted toward attracting Seinfeld fans.

I just got off the phone with my wonderful sister-in-law JoAnn.  Yep, the Macbeths panties are in a bunch over my email, and we had a good laugh over their discomfort.  She and I have questions for the DRs who sell on eBay since we want to put this motor home of my dad's up for sale.

I also think she's lined up some charity/used furniture place to empty the house. thank God!

I still think "Seinfeld" was one of the funniest shows ever on tv, but a lot of the humor came from the great ensemble cast, not just the four principals but the parents of Jerry and George, Puddy, Elaine's employers, etc.

OK - I need to get showered and start running all over creation - well, Union Square, Chelsea and midtown.  Close enough.

Good morning to all of the dear studlies and lovelies here.  And H/Ks, and DRs, and vixens and sirens also !!

And a lovely good morning to dear Esteemed BK .

I was visiting a longtime friend of mine who had to undergo bypass (5) surgery, and thankfully, everything went well and he was doing great in his "recovery rehab" hospital.  He actually looked better than he has the past year or so.

Dear Elmo.... I sure hope you get to feeling much better, just as soon as possible!

And "feel better / recovery" vibes ~~~ ~~~  to those DRs who could use them.

And as for the TOD; my choice might not fit the exact criteria of which dear BK is thinking, but it certainly poses a lot of questions to think about, so one of my all time favorite pieces of fiction is still...

Yes, indeed.  And through it all, Jerry was the "straight man."

The show was far less funny in its first season when they combined his very dry standup with "TV show scenes."

THE BEE MOVIE promos are terribly unfunny to me.

Hello, DR MG.  Who is John Galt?

I've never been a Seinfeld fan.  Although, I did think that the title "A Bee Movie" is quite clever.

In addition to being agog, I'm contemplating being aghast and agape.

Make sure it's a "lite" pizza.

I've got NIGHT AND DAY running while I do work at the house. So many songs make me think of our dear Larry and his wonderful Cole Porter orchestrations!

When I see "The Bee Movie", and I will, it will be because of Patrick Warburton.

Night and day
Chew are the one
Only chew beneath the moon and under the sun

Whether near to me or far
It's no matter darling where chew are
I think of chew, night and day.

I liked the sequence in the book at the fancy party when Dagny Taggart exchanges her diamond bracelet for Lillian Rearden's made of Rearden Steel:

"You may have it back, Miss Taggart, when you change your mind," she [Lillian] said.

She [Dagny] clasped the metal bracelet on her wrist.  She liked the feel of the weight against her skin.  Inexplicably she felt a touch of feminine vanity, the kind she had never experienced before:  the desire to be seen wearing this particular ornament.

I think DR SINGDAW asked about tonight being Devil's Night or Mischief Night....yes it is.

Petty crimes, fires, and annoyances.....I think the tradition began in Detroit, there is no spiritual significance to the event.
