DR dB - that makes sense.  Thanks!  And thanks to you, also, DR elmore3003!

Pas de quoi, DR singsong! BTW, in reference to your inquiry of VANESSA vs ANTONY & CLEOPATRA, I believe that A&C has a better libretto than the ridiculous plot of VANESSA.  I know there are a lot of opera queens out there who will be scandalized by my opinion, but if it had been a screenplay for, say, Joan Crawford and Ty Hardin, or any man at least 20 years her junior,  the Carol Burnett Show would have trashed it to death eons ago,

Not feeling particularly habile today... much too little sleep.

DR ArnoldMBrockman: Funny you should post that title; I just got around to putting City of Angels on ye olde iPod.

TOD:
On the computer DVD drive: Will Roya's "Juggling: from Beginner to Pro"
On ye olde iPod: "History of Torah in Modern Times," lecture series by Rabbi Aharon Rakeffet (#40 of 77)

I should hope! To suggest that any opera has a ridiculous plot is cause for a toaster-oven recall :D

Last night, I showed EVAN ALMIGHTY to Mum, who really, really liked it. I appreciate it for the animals.
Then I finished up Season One of UGLY BETTY with tears in my eyes, now I can begin to catch up with Season Two.

Tonight, in Pittsburgh, Miss Amanda McBroom will be performing at the Renaissance Hotel's cabaret room. . .I hope to be in attendance. . .

No, but he does make extensive use of another should-be classic WWII film

There just aren't enough good Japanese/Hebrew puns out there... :)

It was through Amanda that I first ran across a Mr Bruce Kimmel. Woody and I had seen "Heartbeats" at the Pasadena Playhouse and had ordered a copy of the cast recording. It took two return trips to finally get our copy - seems bk was having trouble squeezing out the pressings.

The show was thin, but she did manage to add in her hit "The Rose".

Been there, done that -- already have one. They wanted me to do the ad, too, but decided they needed someone who looked like they actually knew how to use chopsticks (being younger and cuter had nothing to do with who they went with either...). I'm right now using the little bowl for oatmeal instead of rice (in honor of DR Ben) -- oatmeal and chopsticks -- a bit tricky, but I've got a napkin handy...

DR SongBird ~ You so funny, me love you long time (the oatmeal and chopsticks made me say that -- and you can steal my lines anytime, cause I stole that one from some character in a movie -- it's difficult to be original these days with how long humans have been around -- someone has already said it, done it, sung it, danced it, wrote it, drawn it, etc. etc. etc.)

Good morning!

Cold again this morning, but I hunkered down and had my longest sleep since last the end of daylight savings time - over 7 1/2 hours which is an eternity of sleep for me nowadays.

Gotta get out of here and head over to the colloquium which starts this morning. But to quote the number one movie line used by folks in everyday conversation (see, my point, we humans love to steal stuff) "I'll be baack!" (internet story reference dated yesterday)

..cause I stole that one from some character in a movie --

The actual quote is: "Me so horny. Me love you long time. " (from Full Metal Jacket)

That CLOSER December two hour episode is definitely new. Brenda's in Atlanta, something we've never seen in any previous episode.

I've bought a new receiver for my home theater set-up, one with HDMI inputs and output to get the latest in the new high definition soundfields: (Dolby Digital TrueHD, DTS-HD).

The problem is finding the two to theree hours it's going to take to unhook the old equipment and hook up the new equipment. It looks like Sunday morning may be the first opportunity to do this.

Matt,

Last night you posted:

Quote
I turned on CRIMINAL MINDS to see how Joe Montagne is fitting into Mandy Patinkin's slot on the team. Pretty much fit right into place, the same somber tone as his predecessor. The case involved an obsessed gay man serial killing these women

I got the impression that all the killings had been done by the older gent (who was not depicted as gay) and the young kid (a refuge from the "Commish") had the gay crush and was setting out to emulate his fallen idol.

Did I miss something?
