Yes, Woody & Der B, that was one of my Xmas promos you saw. Glad you recognize my "style"!  :)

I'm editing scenes shot for the internet for a TBS series called "10 Items or Less". The actors are very impressive, especially the lead actor, who plays the onwer of the market. All the scenes I'm working with are improvised, and  the actors know their characters so well that they are never for a loss for words.

The lead actor is having his yearly review with 6 employees, so he improved for about 4 hours straight without ever losing focus or energy. Very funny guy!

Luckily this was shot right before the writer's strike!

I keep thinking of SWW and wonder if his market is anything like the one in this show?

TOD: My DVD/VHS player is stuck in the VHS mode. Argh! We have hardly used this and have had problems with it---I think even this actual problem---and we don't know how we resolved it last time.

I hate this sort of thing...

Tomorrow we may buy a stove. The house came with this old Jenn-Air thing which is worthless to me. 2 electric burners and on the other side is a grill, so you can grill meat indoors and collect a lot of grease---blech. If I want to grill I will do it outside!

Plus, the downdraft ventilaiton makes the oven space much smaller. And I like to cook with gas. I can't wait to get rid of it.

Unfortunately, it's a slide-in and for some reason they are much more expensive. Oh well...

I'm sure that this is very interesting to everyone. It's a dilemma to me, though, because I don't cook enough to know what I want, but I WANT to cook, and intend to cook...

We have to get a plumber to run a gas line to the kitchen, too. Oy! What a pain!

DR Edisaurus, it can't be any worse than dealing with the cable company!    ;)

I think the optimum solution is to have a gas cook top and an electric convection/bake oven built-in at eye level (I'm sure there will be lots of encouraging advice on a pending kitchen remodel :D) You can recover much of the cupboard space you give up for the oven by putting cabinetry beneath the cook top. If you shop for gas pay attention to the number of BTU's per burner! Size DOES matter!

I have nothing to say, except that a DHL delivery that was scheduled for Monday arrived today.  That was a pleasant surprise, since we only paid for two-day delivery and got it in a day.

On the other hand, if no one had been home today because we weren't expecting the delivery, i might not be so delighted.

I think maybe you want a gas company subcontractor to do this, or else you're going to have water spurting out of your stove.  ;)

Note: the traditional Atlantan method of adding a cook-house out back and importing "labor from overseas" might be cheaper.

Of course, jet-powered costs more...
The “Port-O-Jet” can top 46 mph with a tailwind. “It’s not real aerodynamic,” its creator allows.

Edisaurus has a new elected official near-by:

Doraville GA just elected the openly gay Vice Chair of Georgia Log Cabin Republicans to the Doraville city council!

Our most beloved city councilman (since retired from politics) in Marietta was gay, but in that town, which is famously homophobic, it was sort of a "don't ask, don't tell" situation. He wasn't open about it but everyone seemed to know and it never created a problem, apart from our evil developer nemesis spreading lies about the councilman.
