Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

TOD:  "The Razor's Edge", "Lady Sings the Blues", "The Days of Wine and Roses"....and, conversely, a film about kicking an addiction (albeit, it's "smoking")..."Cold Turkey".

My favorite "anything" re: "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" is Richard Harris' "superb" recording of the story with music undescore.

This one won a Grammy, too.  Oddly enough, it's not yet made it to commercial CD.

It's a terrific listen...and "tells the story", rather than preach. of a gull who was different, shunned and who moved on to a higher plane, but who later returned to his original flock to help others.

It's a terrific dramatic recording.

Jose-LOL, sometimes my hubby has a strange sense of humor, but then so must I cuz after all these years he still keeps me in stitches.

When the boys were young we took the Disney cruise.  Keith did well at the casino & his winnings supplied the boys with constant money for the games at the arcade.  I had fun in the duty free shop. ;D

Have fun!

I love THE DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES which I find haunting.

Wonderful film, and the first one to give me something I desperately needed at the time.....understanding of, and compassion for an alcoholic.

we found behind a group of old postage stamps the famous check for the loan my father made to the family business: $72,000!  Lady M claimed we'd never prove it existed,  I now have in my possession the proof.   I can do nothing at this point but hold onto it and wait for my chance to throw it back in their faces.

It's a curious document, dated July 1 2001, endorsed by Lady M, and my dad was figuring on the back of the canceled check just how much interest the Macbeths would owe him.  In the memo line next to the signature, Dad had written "loaned @ 6%."  Jo and I believe somehow my dad Bill Ed himself was guiding us today.  We sure miss him.

I LOVE IT! :D :D

I hope you got into the swing of your presentation.

Thank you George, either way it won’t be a big deal.  Of course we prefer it to go away without surgery.

I'm just sayin'...

An excerpt from Nite of the Living Dead! The Musical!...the song, "One Small Task (A Vegetarian Rag)" (Music & lyrics by Josh Anderson, ©2007):

The thing that really has me beat
Is that in death I might eat meat
But what's a vegan zombie to do?

And while in life, it's quorn I munch
In death, I may eat you for lunch
What's a vegan zombie to do?

There really is no substitute
And now that death is loomin'
My worry is that this Thanksgiving
I can't make a tofhuman! ....

Bruce, have a nice lunch at Cassell’s, the place where Keith almost lost a finger working the slicking machine.  He then rushed over to my father's office, the one next to where your father's restaurant was.

Sorry if I should know the answer to this question....what is in the building now?  Is it still a restaurant?  We haven't returned to neighborhood since long before my father retired.

Headache and all, I need to get moving and take Sherlock & myself for a hike.  I’m sure it will make me feel better.

Last night I dreamt I had a giant egg carton on my hand & I couldn’t get if off.  Then I woke up and it was still there.  I was very confused until I realized it wasn’t an egg carton but a splint.  At least I could wiggle my fingers now.

But there are only i think 5 celebs left in the competition. And marie is clearly the weakest. I don't think it's right that she stays on forever .

I don't believe this has anything to do with who stays or goes.

Has anyone forgotten the Emmit Smith win over Mario Lopez?  It's a popularity contest.

If talent had anything to do with anything, then Blake certainly would never have made the final two of American Idol, much less the final 5.  (And Taylor Hicks and Katherine McPhee would not have finished 1-2, either.)

If the best is the ultimate goal, then we are all out of luck, because the "best" NEVER WIN!

Well, folks, the ROUTE 66 DVD arrived.  The news is not good.  The transfers are DARK, although I can't speak to whether they are the full episodes or not.

I only checked the first disk and the sound quality of two of the shows is terrible....a great disappointment.

OTH - WITH A SONG IN MY HEART is very good, with nice crisp colors (a bit dark) and sound.

I enjoyed the extras about Jane Frohman, I only knew about her life from the movie.

No commentary.  But Drew Casper shows up in the documentary....to no great effect.   Why do they keep using him?
