TOD:

Philly Steak and Cheese....I didn't know what it was when I ordered it at Steak and Shake.....back in the 1970's - but afterwards I got it whenever I could....a Philly Steak and Cheese, that is.

Off to do some Monday stuff.

Sounds like what we might have for dinner Saturday or Sunday!  Actually, we going to Richard's younger brother's house for Thanksgiving Day, but will cook a turkey dinner on Friday - mostly for the leftovers!

We will be on Long Island for the holiday. Anthony is leaving this morning and I will leave Wednesday afternoon. I have a half day at the office and then it's off to Long Island. I have finished my holiday shopping for my niece and nephew (and a newborn grand niece scheduled to be born on November 23rd, the due date) and we will mail the boxes on Saturday morning. We return to the city on Sunday November 25 and then I have only 4 1/2 days of work left for the year (but who's counting).

Hi folks.

Thank you for all of the recovery vibes.  I confess this is the toughest surgery I’ve had to date.  Not painful, per say, but I’m very “uncomfortable” and seem to tire out very easy.   I take a nap every afternoon for a few hours only to get up, eat something and go back to bed around eight.

Thelma is taking me to the doctor for my post op tomorrow.  Maybe if he takes the stitches out I'll start to feel better.

I wake up at about 5:30 AM (that’s the “going to work” training) and just can lay in bed past 7—I’ve tried.

Happiest of Birthdays to our very own DR Jason!

SAFE travel vibes to both DR Elmore and to DR Jose!

I have to say I'm loving the new Bright House cable.  A cloud can go over and I still have a signal and when someone calls it is so very nice to know who it is.

I think I suprise people (like Thelma) when I can answer the phone, "Hello, Thelma"  instead of just "Hello".

"greatest hot sandwich"?  I confess I had a wonderful open faced steak sandwich at Armstrongs when I was in Pittsburgh.  It had cheese over it.  Yummers!

Maybe I need to make a trip back for another one??? ;) :)

I have finished my Performance Evaluation and await the arrival of my supervisor. I will hand it to her, she will hand me her evaluation of my performance and we will meet tomorrow to "discuss"

Yes, Caller ID can be fun when the person calling you doesn't know you have it (until you greet them with Hello, XXX)

I hate performance evals.  Yuck.  I've missed so much time this year that mine should be "interesting".  And it's due on December 25.  Ho Ho Ho.   :-\

The only good thing about it is that it won't really matter what it says one way or the other because there's no money involved.

But the cool thing about it (for me) is that it comes up on the TV and I don't have to grab my glasses to try to read it on the small screen on the phone before I answer.

Every time I see "800 number", I don't bother answering.

If my caller ID shows a state that I know I don't know anyone there I do not answer. Sometimes they are relentless. I answer and if there is a liver person I tell them to put me on the do not call list which I opted for and people seem to ignore.

TOD - a family favorite that I learned from my mother:  shred sharp cheddar cheese, mix in 1 bottle of chili sauce and some chopped ripe olives.  Put filling into hot dog buns and wrap in pairs in aluminum foil.  Chill.  When ready to eat, heat packages at 350o until the cheese melts.
