In honor of my getting older yesterday my mom managed to find a couple of (embarrassing) reminders of my youth.......

Here I am in all my glory...searching for gosh knows what...of course this is back when I had firmer butt cheeks, as you can see!

Although I do seem to have the same haircut.

We had those same curtains one of our houses! LOL!

The curtains were there from the woman who built the house in the 50's, and we never got around to re-doing that front bedroom before selling the house, so that fabric was still there.

I had a allergist some years ago who phoned once just to see how I was doing. I was indeed surprised--and impressed. Follow-ups make a lot of sense, but, given how many docs take business classes these days, I'm afraid I'm suspicious of some of their motives. But it's still a good thing.

Worst of the 'net: the great sucking sound of wasted hours (ADD + high-speed internet connection = REALLY poor work productivity), eternally accessible embarassing information (no, I won't point it out for you...), ignoramuses filling up discussion groups with poorly-spelled inanities AT THE TOP OF THEIR VOICES.

Oh, and the fact that things like this happened, and I never got invited...

MissKaren, I echo many of the same sentiments you express..

I do have one beef about the internet, it allows the rude and nasties to be more publicly displayed and sadly it is spilling over into face to face communication.

I do enjoy keeping in touch with distant relatives and sharing pictures. Doing genealogy research in my pajamas.

I also enjoying places like this, it is a true gem of lovelies!
