I just realized that I totally forgot to go to an party at the home of one of my office mates that occurred last night.

Forgot?  Or were you distracted by your neighbor across the street raking the leaves in his front yard?

OK, so I'm back from the mix.

After only having one brief meeting with this composer to spot the film, it was a little nerve-wracking going into this without even any demos, just arriving at the mix with the music files delivered to the mixer.

BUT, I have to say, he did an unbelievably fantastic job. I couldn't be happier! Everything was perfect for the film, the music ducked when it needed to---we really didn't have to do a whole lot to even adjust the levels.

There were a lot of different feels required here: comical, serious, epic, poignant and this guy hit them all and the music flowed seamlessly and the themes were beautiful.

I am so happy and relieved!!!

Great news, Edi!!

I don't know if this creeps you out or if you think it's a lovely idea, but Art from Ashes creates works of art from blown glass, incorporating a small amount of cremated ashes from pets or loved ones.

What a day!  What a day!

(for an auto da fe?   NAY!)

Up at 6:30 a.m.  Breakfasted, loaded the car, picked up my aunt and cousin and we headed north to Greenville.

Lots of shopping.  Glorious weather but a bit on the chilly side.  Some revisiting of past residences and taking of photographs of same.

My mom and I are having spaghetti for dinner.

Has anyone asked BK if the third runner-up in the latest edition of Survivor (China) is related to him?

Amanda Kimmel is her name.

I think it is a lovely idea.  A lot of people are creeped-out by the little boxes that I keep my babies' ashes in on the bookcase.  Unfortunately, these are a little out of my price range.

Busy, busy day for me as I shopped and shopped and shopped.  Bought clothes, I did.  Lots of clothes I can wash and wear casually.

I had taken stock of my situation when packing for this trip and realized I have few "casual" clothes.  I packed mostly shirts and trousers I also wear to work.

I needed a makeover, and I got one.  Hooray.

DR JoseSPiano - I could look it up, but I'm lazy!  Who is playing tonight at Carnegie Hall?

Pianist, Yefim Bronfman.  This is part of his "Perspective" series - or something like that.  It's going to be quite the "big" recital.  He's ending the first half of his recital with Schumann's "Fantasy in C", and the second half consists of Ravel's "Gaspard de la Nuit", and Balakirev's "Islamey".  I suspect I will be spending most of the recital with my mouth open agape in dispbelief.  I believe the theme of this concert is "Musical Fantasies".

He was supposed to premiere a new work tonight, but the composer/composition was not ready in time.  So, there's speculation that he might add an addition piece to tonight's recital.  We shall see.

I asked before, but is anyone going to hear the Irish Tenor (Mark Forrest) at Carnegie Hall on Sunday?

Does anyone know what the building looks like?

Pretty impressive.  And that is the middle-sized concert hall, is it not?
