DR Jose, please tell your mom that leopard spots are always in style and will never go out of fashion.

I've never seen SAINT JOAN or BONJOUR TRISTESSE, two notable failures with Jean Seberg, so I'll be interested in reading comments from any and all who have seen either or both of them.

I didn't realize that BONJOUR TRISTESSE was a failure, that is a too bad...I liked that movie very much and am glad DR JRand steered me towards it.

By the way JRand, we did not get the 007 movie watched yesterday as planned, but I will likely finish it up this weekend...then must re-loan it out to my sister and brother-in-law.

So, here is the cake that I made yesterday for my niece Alexandra.  -The one from the box mix, that I whipped up with the small whisk. ;)

My Mom had found some candles at Walgreen's, and she set them up on the cake...

She could not understand all of our "reactions" when we saw the cake.  It looked right to her.  ::)

Here's my brother, Mike, with his daughter - and my god-daughter - Emily.

She's showing him that she did not have any eggnog...

And here are the four grandkids with some of their new toys.

The 3-D Glasses that Alexandra and John are wearing are courtesy of Uncle Jojo.  I came across this neat 3-D Notepad at MoMa - whatever you draw on it, appears to float when viewed through the glasses.

Very nice photos, DR JOSE....and Christmas in 3-D sounds like a William Castle production!

Hello, everyone.

I'd hoped to have the rest of the week for R&R, but I find that I have a long list of errands and other pesky chores. Pooh! I'd planned to do some of the errands today--requirement: NO WHERE NEAR A SHOPPING CENTER--but it's raining rather hard, so I may try to rearrange things. Tomorrow should be a nice day.

To be honest, I feel like a movie or a nap. I have very little motivation today!

DR Jose:  I didn't realize your brothers would be so much OLDER than you.  You must have been a late-in-life baby for your folks!

Well... I'm actually the oldest of the four boys.  Although, there are times when my parents still think I "act" the youngest of us all.

My first question for ASK BK DAY - since you are re-visiting some Preminger, what do you think of BONJOUR TRISTESSE?

I've written about the film when the DVD first came out, but I adore Bonjour Tristesse, love Miss Seberg, the photography (in black-and-white and Technicolor) is gorgeous, as is Miss Kerr.  The transfer, for its time, is fantastic.

brian - I've never heard either of those Christmas albums.  I do like Kurt Weill and am fond of Mahagonny, Lady In The Dark and others.

I am concerned about DR TCB. Pneumonia is nothing to play around with. Hope you feel better soon, Tom.
