Good morning!

We're supposed to have more snow today, but it just doesn't feel like snow to me. The sky is overcast, but if it's something other than rain, I'll be surprised.

For those in L.A. in February, Universal will be screening "Badlands of Dakota" with Robert Stack, Ann Rutherford, Richard Dix and.....Frances Farmer (as Calamity Jane!).  One of the Universal lawyers invited me to come as a special guest, but I don't think I can get down there at that time.

Even though I got 7 hours of sleep, I had time this morning to watch about 50 more minutes of THUNDERBALL. Still have about 30 minutes to go. Paluzzi hasn't gotten her just desserts yet.

A lot of this movie seems to have been looped.

BTW, has there ever been any explanation why the Bond producers kept changing actors for Felix Leighter in every film? You'd think they'd stay with the same one as long as they had the same Miss Moneypenny for so many years or the same "Q" until he died. At least keep the same Felix as long as the same man was playing Bond.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And, thankfully, my friend I'm having brunch with today slept in too, so... Then after brunch, I think I'm going to see a show, maybe, possibly... Then a dinner with another groups of friends... Then the NY Philharmonic... So...

Be good.  Have fun.  And stay well.

Today, I'll be completing as best I can the rest of the bonus features (two more items) on the second disc in the THIS SPORTING LIFE set. Then, later tonight, I'll be starting on the first of the Agnes Varda films, all of which will be new to me.

JR, do you know about the new 50th anniversary Perry Mason boxed set coming out?  The fun stuff is in the extras, with Burr's screentest as Hamilton Burger, etc.

Good morning, all! Not having a computer at home is cramping my style, but it does give me no excuse to procrastinate at Bug Central.  Today I threw out the bag I carry around and microwaved everything in it.  I also discovered that if the book is too large and cannot rotate, it will catch fire.  I have to buy a new 2008 datebook.

I also feel as though a dent has finally been made in the situation.  I bought a lovely new Hoover vacuum last night and made a lot of noise with it.  The books are in three piles: save, ship, and toss. I believe I will have by Tuesday around 20-25 cartons of books, music, programs, etc. to ship to Miami UniversityI was asleep by 9 pm and up around 5 am.

If any New York DRs are free on Monday afternoon and want to come help me, it would be greatly appreciated.  They're welcome to take with them nearly anything they'd like.  I only know that by 8 am Tusday morning, I've got to have the last load of laundry into the washers, the entire space vacuumed and cleaned, and anything that isn't in plastic out of the apartment.  This morning at 6 am, I put all cannisters of food and the spices into the refrigerator.

God, this totally sucks!

It does & I'm exhausted just reading your post.  I will admit to a little chuckle over the date book.  I hope you didn't loose anything important in it since it is so early in the year.

Adam Sandler & Don Cheadle were terrific in REIGN OVER ME!  Mike Binder did an excellent job of writing, directing, and acting in the film.  Three very talented men, IMHO.

Quote from Jeanne yesterday:

Are you feeling better, TCB?

(Maybe he missed my post.)

My apologies, Jeanne, I did miss your post, not once but twice.  After starting the week feeling really good, I had kind of a pnenomatic setback Wednesday thru Friday.  The wheezing and coughing started coming back on Wednesday, and after resting all day Thursday, I thought I was okay.  Unfortunately, Friday was a long and labored day at work.  This weekend (all three days) is going to be mostly rest, rest, rest.

And that concludes more than you ever wanted to read about my health.

Ask BK day three days late

and excuse me if it has been asked.

Any chance First Nudie Musical and The Creature Wasn't Nice will see a HD transfer? (Blu Ray or HD)?

I'm going to set up a meeting with Image about it, but we'd have to do a new transfer.  Since the last transfer, the CRI has been found (it's the interneg from which prints are made) and while I'm sure it's faded, it's a better source and the color can be corrected digitally.  However, it is in the possession of Mr. Haggard who I've been trying to get on the phone for the last two years to no avail.  Either he's completely become a hermit or he's died, but I have no way of knowing which.  I may drop him a line.  But, I also have a new print which is in much better shape than the last print we used, so we'll see how it goes.

Re Li'l Abner, I find it hard to support going to see it as it was my idea and when the original director (my pal David Lee) dropped out I found it appalling that I was not approached.

I'm signing off for the day.  I've got too much to accomplish at the apartment. I'll be back tomorrow.

the most frustrating situation is that I can receive my email, which is on Time Warner, but since the office uses Verizon, I can receive my email but only respond by using Time Warner's webmail.  Oy!

At any rate, pray for Rosemary's Baby!

I guess I needed to sleep in because I'd only gotten about five hours the previous two night, but now I've got to get de-groggified because I have a meeting at 3:30 and I'll be heading off to Santa Monica directly after that.
