My DH returned last night from Cincinnatti, where he apparently enjoyed a bowl of Graeter's ice cream...  :(    ;D

I guess I am out of the loop lately, but where did this Tom Cruise (Scientology) interview originate? Was it from a TV news magazine, or one of the nightly entertainment programs, or somewhere else?

We finished out assortment of Graeter's ice cream from the holidays.  Probably won't order more TOO soon, it was so good that it was addictive.

Fred, when are you seeing Applause? I hope to see the final dress. A friend who works for NYU always gets tickets for that night. I'm waiting to hear from him about whether he has them for Applause.

But before I go (speaking of transfering LPs), I won this from eBay and it just arrived in the mail yesterday (and it looks like it's in great condition!):

I'm going to take it to work today to scan the cover (we have a photocopier that's also a scanner!) and then print it at home (which we're not allowed to do at work).  Then, I'll record it to my computer to make a CD from it.  I don't have the ION turntable, just a regular record player that's hooked up to my computer with RCA cables.  My sister's boyfriend built my computer and installed a .wav file recorder that I've learned how to use. :)

I have that TV soundtrack (the cover of mine looks a little different, I believe). I MUCH prefer it to the Jack Carson Broadway recording of the early 1950s even though the TV version changed the show and altered the songs to fit the performers on that special.

Good morning!

We had a steady rain last night once I got in bed, and it lulled me to sleep. Today looks absolutely gorgeous but according to the forecast, it's not getting out of the 40s today. (It must have been near-70 yesterday).

The Blu-ray disc of CRIMSON TIDE arrived earlier this morning from Disney, so that's how I'll be spending my afternoon once I've finished with lunch.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST - Season 3 will have to wait until either later this evening or tomorrow.

TV Reminder:

A new LAW & ORDER is on tonight (maybe the episode that was postponed from last week?)

Of course, new reality show episodes of AMERICAN IDOL and MOMENT OF TRUTH, but I don't watch those.

CBS is also showing two rerun episodes of OLD CHRISTINE tonight in anticipation of the show's return next Monday night.

How exciting that those two Lana Turner melodramas (MADAME X/PORTRAIT IN BLACK) and the three TAMMY movies (Reynolds/Dee) come out next week in very reasonably priced (see Deep Discount's pricing) sets. Can't wait!

(Wonder when I'll find time to watch any of them?)

BK, maybe I missed your answer, but I asked a pre-Ask BK day Ask BK question yesterday.  I'm curious if you (or maybe Nick Redman) knows if there is any diff between the new SAE/Intrada "Mary Queen of Scots" and the import Artemis CD of the soundtrack several years ago.

MattH--one of the Tammy movies (I think "& the Doctor", but it might be "tell me true") has one of Percy Faith's few original scores for film.
