Hey Mikey ~ How old is Bosco? Have you had him since he was a pup? Where/how did you come to adopt him?

Dog Bosco is about 8 years old and I have had him for 2 years. Found him at the Humane Society when I was visiting. Had no intention of getting a dog...but when I saw this calm, cool, and collected critter I could not resist. He was the best impulse buy of my lifetime!

After 4 and a half hours of laundry, everything is now ready for a new plastic bin or a closet shelf.  Yay, hooray.

DR Matt H, I really liked GONE BABY GONE; I saw it with my best friend Matthew who lived in the area of Boston in which the story takes place. He thought the actors' accents were spot on. It's a good mystery.

Now, I've got a million pairs of socks to sort.

DD Bosco looks like the proverbial gazelle in the headlights.

And you would know about those headlights!

Now, I've got a million pairs of socks to sort.

Once they're all sorted and put away, here's a recommendation.

You will never ever wear every one of those socks in your lifetime.

When you wear a pair, toss 'em and move on to a fresh pair tomorrow!

I'm up, I'm up, a little later than planned - was expecting a call that didn't come.  So, it was fine as I was very tired and it was good to sleep till nine-thirty.  Much to do today.  Have to de-groggify first.

I like those LP shipper boxes singdaw found but there's no way to get them here speedily.  I might try the store near me that sells LPs - I'll call them and see if they'd sell me three boxes.

And here's a big surprise: The WGA may settle by the end of the week, JUST in time for the Oscars to be able to go on.  Who knew?

For future reference, BK (and everyone else), there's a wonderful online store called Bags Unlimited that sells every shipping/storage supply you could need for your various "media": LPs, 78s, EPs (10-inch), 45s, CDs, VHS, DVDs, and lasers.

It is a cornucopia of supplies for such things!

BK:  Have you ever encountered John Maher on any forum other than FSM?

I'm curious.

Rice- my fave is to take 1 cup of white rice and soak it in a can of beef consumme (sp?) while a roast is cooking in the oven. Then when you get to about the last 1/2 hour of cooking, you take out the roast, pour the rice and consume into the pan then put the roast back in on top of it and cook til it's done.   You can add parsley or whatever you want to the rice. My mom adds msg (Accent) but I leave that out.

Time to get some lunch.  I have much to organize in my office this afternoon. I have somehow gotten off track a little. Not sure quite how that happened.

Tomorrow the office computers are going to be wired together instead of using the wireless network.

It's been going down lately and I have to keep restarting my computer to access Martha's Edith's computer where many of the files we both work on are stored (I recently learned that she really goes by her middle name of Edith and since I've had bad luck with a secretary named Martha, she was thrilled I want to start calling her Edith)

I am very happy about that.

So, Kerry, did you take your car in to the dealer?

Yes, I'm $200 and 4 hours poorer!

I'd love to not have a car, but Phoenix is not a city that will ever be  practical to live in without a car.  I love Chicago, DC, New York, San Francisco  Where you can get by without one.  We actually have a decent bus system, but the city is so spread out that you lose hours in the process.

Good Afternon!

Greetings from lunch!  We actually finished with the men this morning around 12:30, so I was able to have a nice leisurely lunch out of and away from the building, and now I'm just catching up on my e-mails and stuff.

Alas, there were 500 women signed up on the list for this afternoon.  Not all of them will show up this afternoon - they never do - but it looks like we'll be going right until 5:00.  Whew!

DR Matthew - So.... If a singer came in with a song... And had it transposed... But had it transposed incorrectly... Even the chord symbols don't match up... And the singer doesn't really know the song... And the song happens to be from a very popular show... And sitting behind the table is one of the first conductors of said popular show... What would you do?  :-\
