Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I guess I guess I should check what time I'm supposed to play this afternoon.  Hmm...

As for "The Wiz" - It's always been one of those movies that I've "liked" - well, if I happen to come across it while flipping channels, and nothing else is on, I will usually end up sticking with it through the end.  Well, almost the end.  I also always seem to catch it in the middle of Michael Jackson's "Scarecrow" number.  -I think I've only seen the beginning - and end - of the movie just once, possibly twice.  Either way, I don't remember much about the opening set-up, and all I remember about the end is Diana Ross running in the snow and not seeming to be cold.

And, yes, "Can You Feel A Brand New Day" has to be one of the strangest - and unjustifiably long(!) - dance sequences every filmed.

Uncle Milly's last words from his deathbed were "The nourishment is palatable."

How can you top that?

As Michael Jackson sang in THE WIZ:  "You can't win, you can't break even, and you can't get out of the game."

Now there's a cheery thought!  :)

Appropriate, since Toto is a CAIRN (WOD) terrier. (We had several in my youth...great little dogs!)

Wikipedia says: "His last words were alleged to be, upon being fed some soup, 'my only regret in death is that the Whig dies with me.'"

However, we like the other quote better, so we are going with that one.

My favorite president is Jimmy Carter.

I was born in Marion, Ohio, the home of Warren G. Harding.

Uncle Milly took over as president after President Zack Taylor ate that fatal snack of cherries and milk.

Now if you ever get on Jeopardy, you know all you need to know to answer a Millard Fillmore question.

I just hope you get a Millard Fillmore question.

Oh, and I went "awwwww" when DR ELmo posted the photo of Jose at the Piano the other day -- I miss that little Enabler Face -- even more when it's wearing that charming smile...
